I can't believe we actually got in one group. When I sat back down I looked at Joreid and I could see the same delight in her eyes.

I was almost the last one to be called out. So soon after continued Ingeltore's speech. Urghh... It's already 14:00. "As I said I will make an announcement after the dividing ends. Each group will have to collect points. You can collect points in many ways. But I won't tell you how. Your teacher will just say who got them. You won't even know the reason so you won't be able to mirror the actions the get more of them. And I'm proud to be saying that one group already has earned five points from me. And that group is one with their leader Aerinmus Starisson. Congratulations!" And she clapped with the rest joining.

"Now that everything has been cleared out - you're free to go. By that I mean you can go find your rooms."

Everyone followed her instructions and moved around like ants who had lost their way home. I turned to Joreid, "Let's go?"

"Yeah." We got up and slowly moved to the exit due to the ant traffic. "I still can't believe we actually got into one group."

"Me neither" Agreed Joreid. With that we continued our way with laughter recalling all the boring speech Ingeltore was giving us.

Later we found our room. It was at the third and also last floor of our group dorms. I suppose that each floor contains each year. For our case it was the third floor for the new students.

"Ready?" I asked her. Joreid nodded her head.

Okay... here comes our first steps into the promised three year nightmare. I opened the door and we saw that everyone was already inside. Well, almost everyone. There was missing one member from the opposite gender.

The room was twice smaller the size of my dorm room. But it still fitted six beds, well three bunk beds, a huge round table for studying in the middle of the room and a small walk-in closet for everyone to share. It's walls were light but the furniture was dark brown so it had some nice contrast. The biggest downside of this room was that it didn't have a bathroom - it was a shared one for the whole floor.

While we were waiting for the sixth member to arrive we decided not to waste time and introduce ourselves to each other.

Our group leader was the first one to start. "As you may know - I'm Aerinmus, your leader. I have big plans for the future so I hope that we will get along really well."

Next was the third girl in our group. "I'm Hlif. I'm not really talkative, but I'm good at talking people into doing things." After saying that she had a small smile that seemed a little bit creepy to me but maybe I was seeing things.

Then it was our turn "I'm Skur. If you payed attention to the whole ceremony then it is possible that you noticed me. But other than that I'm know to doing things the best noone expects me to." There was a loud agreement hum heard at the ceremony part.

"And I'm Joreid. I'm usually someone who can cheer up even a dark soul." She smile cheekily.

And the last boy who was here at the moment, "My name is Bolverk. There's nothing much more to say. Just don't argue with me."

After we introduced each other Aerinmus continued, "Since I'm your group leader, as I said you will have to listen to me and respect me. Remember this is your second home now and I want for all of you to be honor students. That means - highest grades, best training experience and do not get late to anything."

As he said that the third boy entered. He seemed really familiar. Oh right, he was the one who was also late to the ceremony. "Hey everybody.." He awkwardly waved with a guilty grin.

"You're late." Aerinmus stated.

"This time it wasn't my fault." The mysterious boy laughed, "You all heard that Mrs. Ingimardottin wanted to talk to me afterwards."

Aerinmus sighed "Okay. This time I'm going to let it slide but do not ever be late again. It won't have a good ending."

He shot his hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay. By the way, I'm Gnupa."

"I'm actually kinda interested in what she told you. Mind telling us?" Hlif spoke up. "We're your group mates after all. There should be no secrets held between us. That will make the bond between us stronger, you know?"

Gnupa just shrugged, "Nothing much. Pretty much the same Aerinmus just said. Just to not do that ever again. Or she won't let me train for a month. To think about it, that's actually a pretty rough punishment."

I spoke up. "He's right. If we want to be the best dragon riders we have to train at least once a week. For the best everyday. If not, we won't be able to finish the final exam with perfect or good scores."

"How do you know that?" Bolverk asked me almost challenging me.

I looked him dead in the eyes for once today being serious. "Because I have grown up with them side by side and I know them by heart. Also from all I have heard, to gain a dragons trust you have to take care of it everyday. Not just a random person. You. Because that will help you make a strong bond with it which will also help you to fly with it. It will trust you with your life."
