"Gnupa?"
"Oh shit." He cursed eyes looking frantically around.
"What are you doing here?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him while threateningly holding up a thick twig I found on the ground.
"I-... hmm... I." He stuttered looking frightened.
"From my point of view it looks like you were following me." I looked him in the eye not pleased.
"NOnonono... " He shook his head hard. What's wrong with this kid?
"Then what were you doing behind this tree? Huh?"
"Nothing." He answered too quickly.
"So you were following me," I stressed accepting this fact because that was what it was. A fact. No one in their right mind would be doing nothing behind a tree in the middle of a forest.
His head dropped in shame. "I'm sorry..."
"Don't sorry on me." Gnupa looked like he was on the verge of tears. My stare and voice softened noticing that. He really was that soft-hearted? Then why was he even following me? "Why?"
"I don't know."
"Oh, so you don't know. How does this sound to you? You come here out of your mind followi-"
"It wasn't my idea," he mumbled.
"What did you just say?" I asked my voice slowly rising up again.
"It wasn't my id-"
"I heard you the first time." I cut him off.
"Then why did you ask?" he asked dumbfounded.
"It was a rhetorical question you dumbass."
"Ohh..." He trailed feeling a bit hurt.
I lowered my weapon to the point I let go of it and it dropped to the ground. As I continued to wait for him to continue I took an impatient stance and crossed my arms sighing, but he wasn't getting it.
He saw my expression and asked while looking at me with his big confused eyes, "What?"
"You didn't say whose idea was this. And I'm very interested in that to say the least."
"Ahh.. that." He chuckled nervously and touched the back of his neck seemingly feeling not too sure of himself now. "Well... it was... it was Aerinmus."
Gnupa said the last part like he was hurrying somewhere but I heard him nonetheless.
"That son of a bitch!" I was fuming again. What the hell is wrong with him. First accusing and offending me, then this? Really? He must really want to die to have the guts to do this.
"Skur?" Gnupa interrupted my angry trance. "Can you please let go of me?" he asked.
"What?" I didn't realize that I was pushing him against the tree his feet barely touching the ground this whole time "Of course. Sorry." I said as I let go of him as I stepped away not to hurt him accidentally again.
"No, it's okay. You had the right to do that," he said disappointment lingering in his voice.
"I didn't." Sighing I continued, "It wasn't your fault. I have no right to punish the wrong people for other's actions."
"What are you going to do now?" Gnupa asked curiously and carefully trying not to tick me more.
"Aerinmus won't be happy with his decision. That's all you gotta know." I said as I started slowly walking back. But I wasn't calm - I was just trying to not do anything carelessly and the only way to prevent that was to not go sprinting back to the dorms and possibly snapping his neck. That would make a nice sound though.
Gnupa gulped and followed me back mumbling, "O-okay."
The rest of the way back went nicely. It was neither awkward nor quite. He talked to me about his insecurities on his skills because I had asked him why did he agree to follow Aerinmus's orders and while doing so why was he so scared un unsure of himself. After finding out more about himself I kept telling him that if he ever got any problems or questions with learning and adjusting here he could come to me for a helping hand to which he happily agreed to do. From what I got out of the walk back definitely was his trust and a new friend.
When we got back to the dormitory I noticed that Gnupa was looking at me from time to time with worry in his eyes. "Don't worry. It will be fine. I promise not to kill anyone... tonight."
"Are you sure I shouldn't be the one saying this to you? To not worry?" He chuckled completely ignoring the latter part.
I smirked and looked over at him, "Since when do I look like I'm worried?"
"Well... in the woods..." he trailed.
"Don't remind me and please don't tell anyone what happened in the woods, even to Joreid. Okay?"
"Okay, okay." he put his hands up in surrender and then put one of them over his heart, "I swear that I won't ever speak of this again."
"But, Skur?" he asked. I hummed back. "If you ever need to talk about it I'm here." He smiled at me and stopped because we had reached the needed door.
I breathed out a deep breath trying to calm myself down failing miserably and walked into our room not too happy. "How dare you?!" I raised my voice lowly and stormed towards Aerinmus pulling him up by his ear while he looked at me in pain holding onto his ear trying to pry my hands away.
"What the fuck, Skur?" He whined.
"How dare you use others??" I looked at him still angry at what he had done over the past days.
"Wh-what? What are you talking about?" He stuttered trying to sound not guilty of whatever I was accusing him of.
"You sent Gnupa to spy on me while I was away. What the hell is wrong with you? I can't believe it." I let out an angry sigh drilling my eyes into his making my point even clearer. And that was that this was certainly unacceptable and I was very angry at him. "And the worst part is that I have to bear it since you're our leader. Wow! Just wow. I really can't believe it."
I let go of him and said, "I expected more from you since you are our leader., but I guess I was right from the start that there wouldn't come out anything great out of you."
I walked out turning to everyone when I was at the doorstep and before they could say anything to me, I said, "I'm going to train. Do not follow me. I'm already on the verge of being capable to punch a hole in a wall. I'm sure you don't want to risk me doing that to your faces."
