Devin is with his brother, Dawson, his spirit animal,a black panther named Elda, and Dawson's spirit animal,the Great Boar, Rumfuss were eating lunch with Rollan, summoner of Essix the Great Falcon,Ana,false summoner of Ix the gila monster, and Karmo,false summoner of Impundulu the hammerkop stork.
"Devin"said someone
"What?"asked Devin
"I asked are you okay?"said Dawson
"Well,yes I am, we're Redcloaks and a Greencloak."said Devin
"And I hope I won't to see Zerif anytime soon."said Rollan
"If I see him again anytime soon, I'll kick his butt out of here."said Ana
Everybody started giggling.
"Can't wait to see that."said Dawson with a smile
"Count me in"said Rollan
When they came into a agreement, Abeke came running towards them. Which made Devin remember something.
"Did anyone see Shane?"she asked
The four kids shook their heads.
"He told me something about having a little chat with someone." said Devin
"Why didn't you tell anyone?"asked Meilin, challengingly
"It was one in the morning and I was half asleep when he told me."said Devin defensely
"Oh brother"grumbled Rollan and Meilin at the same time.
The both glared at each other. Devin remembered that those two had another argument. (With a sigh). Again.
"We better go through the tunnels, with a friend of mine."said Morgin
"What?"asked Meilin, confused
"I'll explain later."said Morgin
Behind Morgin was, Marco, Andi,Peter, Buddah, Aisha, Sarah, Ursala, Alexieses, and Tasha. By their sides,is Atalanta,Hasna, Jana,Baihu,Zuma, Luna, Jasmine, Banja, Indrana, and Ninani, their true spirit animals. Then Devin realized something.
The Evertree was wounded during the last great war. She never healed. This injury was the cause of the bonding sickness. The Staff of Cycles was the source of the leadership of all Erdas.
