Party... In the dark?

Sloane's P.O.V

Well that was quite the awkward car ride, I thought as I exited Michael's car.

We all met up with the others who went in Chris' car "um, who else is nervous" Fernanda said.

Lia laughed softly "you'll be fine" she said as she latched her arm onto Josh's.

"Now let's go party" Lia yelled.

We all followed her through the entrance of Jake's house.

"This place is huge" Chris said.

It was a fair amount, maybe a bit bigger then our house.

The walls were pearl white with golden accents, there were two long stair cases that curved to the entrance, and the windows were huge filled with sparkles.

And of course this beautiful house was being wrecked by teens.

All I saw were teens holding red cups while grinding on one another.

"Welcome to the partyyy" Jake slurred as he approached us, a red solo cup in his hand.

"Drinks in the kitchen, bathrooms down the left hall, and upstairs are plenty of bedrooms in case...." then he winked at Ember as he trailed off.

"Enjoy" he said leaving us, but not before throwing one last glance at Ember.

"Well, you heard him. Go enjoy" Ember said as she stepped into the crowd of dancing teens.

Soon enough the rest joined and since I had nothing else to do I followed.

So time went on and we were each eventually handed red cups some more than others.

Most of the night for me consisted of disposing the cups offered to me, trying not to step on anyone, and watching Ember.

I mean the way she moved her body, it was so simple yet so mesmerizing in a way.

Ugh, Sloane snap out of it.

As I tried to clear my thoughts a guy bumped into me.

"Hey! Oh, hey there cutie" the guy yelled then smoothly tried to cover.

"Um, hey" I said.

"What are you doing all alone" the guy slurred as he tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

I stepped back a bit "I'm here with.."

"Me" I heard a voice say as I felt arms wrap around my waist.

I felt my cheeks grow warm as I stayed quiet. "Step away perv" the voice said as they dragged me to the other side of the dance floor.

"Are you okay" the person asked me as she began to camouflage with the other dancing teens.

I followed her movements.

The girl had black raven hair with fire red tips, her skin was light, and her eyes were a piercing hazel almost gold.

She was wearing a black top with ripped skinny jeans and converse.

"Um, y-yeah thanks for that" I said a bit flustered.

"Hey, no problem" she said. "I'm Alexa" the girl said.

"Im Sloane" I responded.

"Sloane, pretty name for a pretty girl" Alexa said with a bright smile as she grabbed my hand and twirled me.

"T-thanks"

We began to dance a bit more then I noticed the guy again from the corner of my eye and I began to tense a bit.

"Hey what's wrong?" Alexa asked, concern shown in her voice.

"Nothing" I lied as I glanced back at the guy.

Alexa followed my eye contact and saw the guy "oh, Tommy" she said, "trust me you don't have to worry about him"

I said nothing I just looked down at the floor.

"You know who he is" I finally choked out.

"Sadly yes, I used to.. date him" she said with a shudder.

I looked up with wide eyes "really?"

She nodded "desperation makes ya do funny things"

A laugh slipped my lips and Alexa laughed along. After our laughter began to fade I cleared my throat.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?" I asked, I couldn't help it. I had always been a curious person.

"Well other then him being a major perv.. woah watch out" Alexa yelled out as she yanked me close to her.

At first I was shocked then I slightly turned to see that a guy had spilled a tray of drinks all over the spot I was just standing.

I sighed and looked back at Alexa.

My breathing stopped and my heart began to beat rapidly as I noticed the position we were in.

Alexa and I had our bodies glued together, her arm was wrapped on my waist, and our faces were just inches apart.

But what really topped it all was her eyes, how filled they were with passion and wonder. Her golden orbs were piercing through my blue ones.

And time stopped once I heard the words that slipped her lips.

"I'm not really into boys."

Then the lights turned off. Everyone shrieked and murmured, and I clinged onto Alexa even tighter.

A dark blood curdling scream bounced off the mansion walls.

Then the lights turned back on.

Everyone screamed as they dashed for the mansion doors.

Within all the chaos I managed to get separated from Alexa and now she was nowhere to be found.

"Sloane" I heard a familiar voice yell.

I turned to see Ember and the others.

"Your okay" Lia yelled as she wrapped me in a warm embrace "yeah I'm okay, what happened"

"No one knows, all we know is the lights turned off and someone screamed. We don't know who the screamer was or what happened to them." Dean said.

"Everyone out now" Ember yelled. "Get in the cars and drive"

We all did as Ember ordered.

As I sat in the car all I could think about was Alexa as worry began to clog up my thoughts.

Then I felt something wet slip down my cheek.

I touched it and saw it was a warm tear that had been released from my eye.

Alexa, please be okay.
