Part 16

Tessa's POV:
I haven't spoken to my dad and mom I'm a few days, like I said, they're on a business trip. It was a new school day and I had just walked into the school. I walked to my locker, got my books and closed the locker door. I decided to call my parents. I picked up my phone and called them, my dad picked up the phone but there was a bad reception.

Tessa: "hello? Daddy are you there?"

Then Jake popped out of no where.

Jake: "yea, I'm right here!"

I punched his arm and we both laughed. I put down the phone because we got disconnected.

Tessa: "Oh yea, Jake I don't think I'll be able to make it to the party this Friday"

Jake: "what? Why? That's all I've been looking forward to this week" he groaned.

Tessa: "I um-have to-do something for my mom!"

Jake: "c'mon Tessa, you're lying.."

Tessa: "no, why would you say that?"

Jake: "because I could see it written all over your face and plus your moms out of the country.."

I stood sus.

Jake: "c'mon babe-shit I mean Tessa, tell me the real reason why you can't come, is something bothering you, are you alright?" He asked concerned.

I know what he's trying to act all cute so I could go with him to the party and not gonna lie, it's working.

Tessa: "I'm just not feeling a party this week"

Jake: "why? Did Erika tell you something?"

Tessa: "what?! No! I just don't feel like it"

Jake: "dude, your coming, okay?"

I gave in.

Tessa: okay.." I said slightly annoyed

He pulled me in for a tight hug.

Jake: "that's my girl"

Tessa: "that's my boy" I said joking back at him.

*Lunch break*
Still Tessa's POV:

I sat with my friends: Alissa, Kade and well onto Grayson sat with us not Ethan because for some reason he's keeping distant and Grayson knows why but doesn't want to tell me.

We sat, ate, talked and laughed together.

Then Jake came out of no where and sat next to me hugging me and leaning his head on my shoulder pretending to fall asleep.

Tessa: "hey Jake"

Jake: "hi" he said innocently with a sweet little smile on his face. He looked tired.

Kade: "wow this is awkward.."

Jake: "how?"

Kade: "didn't you two used to bully eachother?" He laughed.

Tessa: "yea we did" I smiled and Jake smiled too.

Jake: "now I can't see myself ever doing that, I wouldn't ever want to hurt her" he said opening his eyes widely with a smile looking into my eyes.

Alissa: "so like are you two a thing now?" She said eating a French fry.

Jake: "I don't know, are we?" He said looking at me helplessly.

Tessa: "Jake has a girlfriend.."

Alissa: "fuck! I ship it so hard! Jess-Jessa can be your ship name!"

Grayson: "wow.." he said taking a deep breath.

Jake: "what's up?"

Grayson: "nothing man, jus-just forget about it"

Jake: "okay.."

Alissa: "you Tessa you have hickey's!" She said standing up examining them on my neck.

Jake looked at me scared and shocked.

Kade: "woah those are hickeys!"

Grayson: "and you and Ethan have been separated for a while now so..." he said and all heads turned to Jake.

They all looked at him with a "seriously" face.

Jake: "don't look at me!" He said.

They stared at him even harder to the point where he got uncomfortable.

Jake: "fine! I gave her the freaking hickeys!"

Grayson: "I knew it!"

Tessa: "we're still not dating tho! Just maybe made out a couple of times..."

Alissa: "okay then...I'm pretty sure hat you two are dating.."

Jake: "we're not!"

Then Nathan walked up to me.

Nathan: "hey Jake, Tessa the party's gonna be lit Friday night! Can't wait!" Then he walked away.

Grayson: "are you two going together? As a couple?"

Tessa: "no, just as friends.."

Kade: "yea, right! And I'm an uncle!" He said sarcastically.

Alissa laughed.

Alissa: "wow Kade, so random.."

Jake: "seriously tho, when we went shopping the other day I asked her and she said she'd go but only as friends, we even shook on it!"

Alissa: "oh so you went shopping together!"

Kade: "you two are doing couple stuff that couples do, like Alissa and I do those stuff" he chuckled.

Tessa: "Jake for real, your not helping out situation.."

Alissa: "you two are basically dating, you just don't know it yet.."

We both rolled our eyes and he dropped his head on my lap because he was tired, I played with his hair as everyone else talked.
