Jake's POV:
I was chilling in the cafeteria with Tessa. We got up both laughing and talking while headed to the halls. We got to the halls and I leaned up onto a locker talking to her. Then this guy from my football team approaches us. I don't like to call him my friend but I guess he is...his name was Neels.

Neels: "Hey Jake I was wondering-what tf are you doing here Tessa?!" He cut himself off and rudely addressed Tessa.

Jake: "yo chill bro" I said to Neels.

Tessa: "Neels just please, I don't have time for this"

Jake: "wait so you two know eachother?"

Neels: "yea and I regret ever meeting her!" He said furiously.

Jake: "bro like I said, chill tf out or leave!"

He calmed down.

Jake: "back to my question, how do you two know eachother? Like I mean you never event mentioned eachother to me.." I said confused.

Tessa: "we dated, he's my ex..."

Neels: "yup and I regret it" he said

Jake: "why would you regret it? She's amazing" I kinda chuckled so it wouldn't be so awkward.

Tessa: "your the one who fucked up our relationship so yea, you do have the right to regret it!"

Neels: "you were the one fucking Ethan!"

Tessa: "not while we were together.."

Jake: "so you've done it with him after you and Neels broke up tho?" I smirked.

Neels: "they obviously did"

Tessa: "I'll just let you figure that one out on your own" she said awkwardly patting my shoulder with a giant smile on her face.

Neels: "back to us...why'd you cheat?"

Tessa: "I didn't....I saw you with Amanda at Mark's party. I saw everything Neels. Everything..."

He stood silent in shock and embarrassment.

Neels: "still don't know where the fuck Ethan came from"

Tessa: "he saw me crying at the party and he was there to comfort me! He's was and still is real to me, unlike you!

Jake: "Neels you sound like you still got a few feelings there bud" I said smiling.

Neels: "hell no! I wouldn't want to date her again! Heck! I don't even know why I did! All she caused was embarrassment to me! Do you know how much comments I'd get from the boys about her!"

Jake: "yea well back off because she's mine!" I said placing my hand on his chest slightly pushing him back as I protected Tessa behind me.

Neels: "your dating?"

Jake: "yea we are, now kindly fuck off, thanks"

Neels: "didn't you two used to bully eachother?" He laughed.

Tessa: "and we've grown from that, it's all in the past"

Neels: "whatever, enjoy getting picked on about Tessa, Jake!"

Jake: "they're not gonna say shit, and if they do, they'll see the wrong side of me" I said putting my arm around Tessa getting ready to leave.

But Neels turned around. He walked back to us.

Neels: "kiss" he said.

Tessa: "what?" Tessa said and we both looked at eachother confused.

Neels: "you two said that your dating, so kiss"

Tessa: "no!"

Neels: "I knew it, you aren't dating.."

I looked at Tessa and she looked at me with a "go in for it" look on her face so I leaned in and we shared a peck.

Jake: "you got your proof now leave!"
