Part 30

Jake's POV:
It's Monday morning and I'm taking Tessa to school today. She knocked on my apartment door and I opened while trying to put my pants on. She laughed at me.

Tessa: "hurry up we're gonna be late" she said still laughing.

I put on my pants and I grab a shirt and my backpack. We walk outside and I put on my shirt as we walked out to my car. While in the car driving...

Jake: "so you feeling better from that hangover thing?"

Tessa: "yea I'm fine"

Jake: "well I'm not"

Tessa: "why? What happened?"

Jake: "when I was comforting you, you scraped my back from the pain" I said chuckling while looking at her.

Tessa: "awh I'm sorry"

Jake: "it's okay I don't care about it, don't feel bad" I said as I placed my hand on her thigh, she placed her hand on top of mine.

We got to school and we had to go out separate ways because we had different classes. I have a big football game today so I'm probably gonna sleep in every class.

Lunch eventually rolled around. I walked to Tessa's Math class to wait on her to be dismissed. She came out and a few boys who were at the party talked.

random guy: "damn Tessa! You went hard Friday night!"

Tessa: "shut the fuck up Miles!" She said pissed.

Jake: "you know him?"

Tessa: "yea.."

Jake: "how?"

Tessa: "we weren't dating but we definitely had a thing"

Jake: "oh...so his name is Miles"

Tessa: "yup, I hate him, let's go" she said grabbing my hand pulling me to the cafeteria.

We sat down with all of Tessa's friends.

Alissa: "are you two dating yet?"

Jake and I looked at eachother annoyed because every time she see's us together she asks us that same question over and over again.

Tessa: "no..!"

Kade: "you should date"

Jake: "you too Kade?!"

Jake: "so um..Tessa you wanna come to my football game tonight?"

Tessa: "sure, I've never really seen you play before"

Alissa: "sounds like couple stuff"

Jake: "just because I invited her to my game?"

Alissa: "no it's just that the footballers usually only ask their girlfriends to come to their games"

Jake: "not really and Tessa is my friend that happens to be a girl so..."

Kade: "dating, got it!"

Jake: "for the last time we're not dating!"

*football game*

I went home with Tessa so that she could change. I changed into my football jersey while I waited for her to change.

She sat in the car. I looked at her.

Jake: "Tessa!"

Tessa: "what?"

Jake: "you're shorts are too short!"

Tessa: "Jake just drive"

I sighed and drove off.

We got to the game and I put my hand over her shoulder as we walked in.

Jake: "sit here" I said pointing at and empty seat.

I went into the locker room with all the other boys and I took off my jersey to loosen up a bit.

Then one of the boys said: "oh so Jake you were with Tessa last night, huh?"

I turned around.

Jake: "what?"

Boys: "the scrapes on your back.."

Jake: "oh yea those are from her"

They all gave me a proud look. I stared at them all sus.

Jake: "what?"

Liam: "so you two hooked up? Is that what your trying to say?"

Jake: "no!"

Liam: "then how'd she give you the scrapes?"

Jake: "she got her first hangover and I was comforting her and she scraped my back because she had stomach aches"

Liam: "mhm, let's just call it a 'hangover' for now Jake"

Jake: "I don't really have to prove shit to you so..."

We all walked out onto the field and Tessa stood and waved at me with a proud expression and a smile on her face.

I froze and smiled.

Liam: "study the field Paul not last night!" He said patting my back.

Jake: "we didn't hook up..she's my best friend" I whined.

Liam: "keep thinking that, now lets go"

We went out onto the field and we won the game. The crowd of spectators came running into the field and so did Tessa but instead of running, she walked.

We both walked up to eachother and she opened her arms allowing me to hug her. I pick her up and spin her around. I put her back on the ground. She still had her arms wrapped around my neck and I had my arms around her waist.

Tessa: "you have no idea how proud I am of you"

Jake: "I only try because of you"

I slowly lowered my hands down her back onto her butt.

Tessa: "oh so you like my shorts, short now, huh?" She laughed.

Jake: "for me yes but for others no" I laughed back and so did she.

Tessa: "lets just go home" she said as we both walked off laughing.
