Part 5

Tessa's POV:
Ethan picked me up and we headed to the party. I entered to a bunch of already drunk kids from school. "WoW" I say to Ethan. We party for a while then Ethan gets a text. His mom ordered him to be home because he forgot that he was grounded, Grayson wasn't but he followed him out.

Ethan: "babe, at least let me drive you home safely"

Tessa: "It's fine, don't worry about me, just get home safely and don't get into anymore trouble, I love you" I said giving him a kiss, he kissed back.

Grayson: "okay lovebirds, there's plenty of time for that later" he said braking up our kiss.

They left.

Alissa got drunk somehow and Kade ended up taking her home, he offered to drop me ho but I declined the offer, I don't know why.

I stayed for a few hours more and finally decided that it was time to leave. I had the option to uber home but I decided to walk, I haven't had a long walk to think about life in a while, so I took the opportunity.

I walked and found myself wondering into a random neighborhood. Matter in fact it was in my neighborhood but just in another street at the back. It started drizzling as the drops fell heavier and faster, bouncing off my skin. I didn't really care to be honest. I was soaking wet.

I heard music coming from a house. I looked up to see Jake staring at me in the distance. He squinted until he recognized it was me. He had a few more people over. I believe they go by the names Anthony,  Chance and Nathan. Surprisingly, they didn't have any alcohol. I tried to cover my face so he wouldn't notice me but the worst thing that could happen, happened. He called me out.

Jake: "Tessa? Is that you? Get over here!" He said directed me over to his house.

I pretended to ignore him.

Jake: "I'll come get you if you don't come, your choice!"

I angrily gave in and approached him in his porch along with his friends.

Tessa: "what the fuck do you want Jake?" I yelled

Jake: "yo chill, chill, come here" he said grabbing my hand pulling me inside his house.

Tessa: "what do you really want?" I said calmer but still angry.

Jake: "to maybe make sure your alright?"

Tessa: "why would you care? Look I better go" I said the wing around to head out the door but he grabbed my waist from behind. I froze. He spun me around so that I can face him with his hands still on my waist.

Tessa: "let go Jake!" I said frustrated.

I placed my hands on his and pushed them off of me.

Jake: "look I'm trying to break the ice between us because we have the project coming up, wait here" he said as he ran up the stairs.

He came back running down the stairs with a towel and one of his hoodies in his hand. He handed it it to me. He pointed to the bathroom so I could go change.

I changed and came back out looking stupid in his oversized sweatshirt that was long enough so it looked like a dress.

Jake: "aww" he said smiling.

Tessa: "are you drunk?" I asked confused.

Jake: "no, I'm just sorry for bullying you"

I stood confused while drying my hair with the towel

Tessa: "thanks, I guess"

Jake: "yea"

Tessa: "well I'm gonna get going now"

Jake: "let me drop you off, it's raining"

Tessa: "I'm fine"

Jake: "your either staying here or I'm driving you home"

Tessa: "just hurry" I said as I walked out to his car.

He left his friends behind. We were driving.

Tessa: "why the sudden change?"

Jake: "I don't know"

I lived in the street behind his so it was just like a 1 minute drive.

We pulled up at my house he decided to walk me to my front door.

Tessa: "shit I forgot my keys inside"

I rang the doorbell.

My mom opened the door.

Mom: "hey baby, where's Ethan?" She said to me.

Tessa: "he had to go home early" I said stepping inside.

Jake stood there awkwardly.

Mom: "so aren't you gonna introduce me to this young man?"

Tessa: "um sure I guess, mom his is Jake, Jake this is my mom"

Jake: "nice to meet you mrs. Brooks" he said as he shook her hand.

Laurie: "oh please, call me Laurie"

Laurie: "so are you two a thing or?"

Tessa: "mommm!" I said embarrassed.

Jake blushed, looked down at his shoes with his hands in his pockets and looked back up.

Jake: "it's fine"

Tessa: "and no I'm still with Ethan"

Jake: "well I better get going"

My mom walked off after saying bye.

Tessa: "thanks for driving me Jake"

Jake: "anything you need, I'm here"

I gave him a hug and a kiss on his cheek. His face lit up red.

I watched him drive off. I knew something was fishy. "Anything you need" what is he up to. He's on some shit. I know he's probably planning a prank or some embarrassing bull shit to pull on me at school on Monday. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
