You could feel the gun strapped inside your jacket with a knife stuffed on the side of your belt but you knew it was necessary with your target in the vicinity. You never once had tried to assassinate Koro-sensei (yet), but that was because you were waiting for the perfect opportunity when it presented itself.

Your boyfriend of the last year, Karma Akabane, had been suspended months ago from Kunugigaoka, but you were the sole person who knew he would be arriving at the assassination classroom within the next few days. You wanted to tell Nagisa, but you figured the surprise factor would be taken away if you did.

You knew Karma better than anyone and you also knew that he would go to great lengths to kill Koro-sensei, probably overboard on his attempts. You informed him of the discovered weaknesses of the octopus, but you were unsure of whether he would listen or see for himself.

No one would ever suspect the two of you of being together because, quite frankly, you were polar opposites. You were also rarely seen hanging out because of being in different classes, but that was all destined to change because of Karma's placement in Class E.

The group was currently in their gym outfits and practicing knife maneuvers for their target with Karasuma leading the pack. You were already tired after a few minutes and wanted nothing more than to take a nap instead of practicing, especially when you knew who was arriving.

The lesson ended and you walked with Nagisa back toward the school building. Nagisa was the exception in knowing you were with Karma because he was there for every awkward moment along the way as the best friend of both of you.

"(Y/N), Nagisa."

You each snapped your heads up and you grinned upon seeing Karma standing at the top of the cement steps while Nagisa appeared to be in a state of shock.

"It's been a while," Karma said ominously.

"Karma? You're back?" Nagisa whispered, eyes widened.

"Oh, hey, that must be the notorious Koro-sensei," Karma beamed falsely, brushing past you but not without flashing you a secret smile.

You rolled your eyes and turned around with Nagisa to watch him swagger up to your teacher.

"Ah, Mr. Akabane, correct? I understand your suspension ends today. Welcome back. That said, tardiness the is a no no," Koro-sensei scolded politely, turning purple momentarily.

"Haha, it's kind of hard getting back into the swing of things," Karma commented. "Oh, feel free to call me by my first name. Anyway, I've heard some good things, teach. Nice to meet you."

"The pleasure's all mine. Should be a fun and educational year," Koro-sensei said, reaching his hand out and clasping it with Karma's.

Suddenly, Koro-sensei's tentacle disintegrated and he jumped back wildly while Karma smirked. You grinned proudly at his accomplishment as the others looked on with apprehension and bewilderment.

"You are fast." Karma chuckled, flipping his hand over to reveal the green pieces taped on his palm. "And who would've thought these knives actually worked? I just cut one into strips and tacked them on."

The class observed as Karma approached their teacher, spitting out words laced with venom as he went.

Kayano then leaned over and whispered to Nagisa, "Hey, so what kind of person is this Karma guy?"

"He and I were in the same class in our first and second year. He was violent, so violent they finally expelled him and shipped him here. Thing is, under the circumstances, he may end up a star student. If anyone can kill our teacher, it's Karma," Nagisa answered.

"Blood and knives are his passion. He'll be able to do this with his eyes closed," you boasted.

"You know him, (Y/N)?" Sugino questioned.

You shrugged. "Been around him for years. You get to know a person like that."

After more smack talk, the students changed back into their uniforms and headed back in the classroom. Karma was already in the room when you arrived, so you took the empty seat next to him in your rightful place.

A series of events took place in class that day: Karma sassing Koro-sensei, Karma tricking Koro-sensei again, Karma eating Koro-sensei's gelato, then Karma making a dramatic exit after finishing his quiz.

You finished yours minutes after and followed the path he took. Karma was waiting outside of the school for you, and as soon as he saw you, pulled you into his arms with a smirk.

"Miss me?" he teased.

"I just saw you yesterday, Karma," you responded happily.

"So you didn't?" Your boyfriend frowned.

"Shut up." You laughed and pushed him away playfully but grabbed his hand a second later.

"I can't believe I haven't killed the octopus yet," Karma complained as you walked together.

"It's only been a few hours; you couldn't possibly think you'd be able to kill a superhuman being in that time frame," you pointed out.

"I don't expect any of you to be able to, but I'm Karma Akabane. I should have had him dead the moment I shook his hand."

"That's rude," you chastised.

"Yet you agreed to go out with me," he bragged.

"Only because you were persistent."

"And that doesn't make it any different from how I am now. I'm going to take him down," Karma promised.

You had faith in Karma but you weren't sure if this was something he could pull off. Karma was courageous and brave, but you weren't sure if he could do this on his own as he normally would. He would definitely need help from the other student assassins, but who specifically was the question.

There was many more events happening that contradicted the mission at hand, but you knew nothing would get in the way of Karma getting what he wanted. You would try to stick by him, yet you were unsure of whether he would do the same for you.
