The girls pulled through like professionals and let you and the boys onto the next floor, but Karma wouldn't stop teasing Nagisa about how feminine he looked.
"We're trying to be stealthy, keep your voices down," Karasuma warned. "We're in the final phase. Talk to me Ritsu."
"Yes, Sir," Ritsu answered. "The VIP floor is just around the corner. The guests here don't rely on hotel security, though, they make it a point to bring their own."
"Either way, we have to take them down," Terasaka said.
"Good point, Terasaka. The weapons you're hiding in your bag will come in handy right about now," Koro-sensei replied.
"Kimura, help me out. I'll wait and you lead them this way," Terasaka ordered.
"How would I do that!?" Kimura exclaimed.
"If you're not a wuss, I have an idea," Karma coerced, then whispered the plan into Kimura's ear.
"What did you tell him to do?" you asked once Karma was back at your side.
"You'll see."
Kimura ducked around the corner and not twenty seconds later was running back with the guards chasing him. Terasaka and Yoshida took the opportunity to jump out at them with tasers and incapacitated both guards.
The group continued ahead to meet up and take out the main target. Ritsu led the students to a huge theater room where you all had to hide behind the chairs and take on another assassin. Koro-sensei started to order around each of the students with you being separated from Karma in the commotion.
Hayami and Chiba were the stars of the show as they easily took out the marksman and the rest of the students charged the stage to apprehend him, but the mission had to continue through the corridors and closer to the target.
You moved on to going to the top floor with your team and made it to the room where the boss was. Walking like ninjas, you split in to two lines and approached the enemy as silent as possible. You and Karma were left in the back incase anything went awry while the others attacked him.
"You didn't think this would be easy, did you?" the boss asked, startling every one of the students.
The boss emerged and everyone besides you and Karma were shocked to see it revealed to be Takaoka. Karasuma, on the other hand, was pissed off.
"Is that the guy you too down, Nagisa?" Karma asked.
Nagisa nodded.
"What naughty children, trying to sneak up on dear old Dad. You disappoint me; I thought I raised you better than that," Takaoka chastised. "Let's head up to the roof. I got a little surprise you're bound to get a kick out of."
Takaoka took the briefcase with the antidote to a staircase and disappeared up them. After following him, he continued to explain his sinister plan to take out Koro-sensei, which only proved to anger the octopus. Takaoka went on his tirade of how Nagisa shouldn't have won their quarrel and Kayano was going to be bait.
"I see. This was more about settling a score than anyone saving the world. Think about it: is beating up a kid going to repair your self-esteem. Wouldn't someone my size be more interesting?" Karma said.
You took his hand and lightly yanked him back to stand by your side, giving him a look that told him not to out himself in danger so recklessly.
"I want me and Nagisa one on one! Follow me," Takaoka demanded, fading into the black.
"I don't want to, but I will," Nagisa conceded, trailing after him.
"Be careful, Nagisa," you said.
Nagisa bowed his head when he made it to the other side, but then Takaoka blew up the gap between the students so no one would interfere with their fight. You were the one with the tightened grip this time as you thought about what could happen to your best friend at the hands of someone so deranged and skilled in combat.
Takaoka first made Nagisa kneel and apologize to him, but ultimately threw the briefcase in the air and made it explode. You and Karma shared a glance instead of getting angry.
"We have nothing to lose," you stated, clenching your jaw.
"We can take him down," Karma agreed.
"No, not yet," Karasuma interrupted. "Look."
You and Karma trained your gazes back on your best friend and Takaoka to see a new expression in his eyes. Nagisa finally snapped, but Terasaka was quick to jump into action and threw the stun gun at Nagisa for him to use, giving a speech about focusing on himself along with it.
"Want to know a secret? I didn't blow up all the antidote," Takaoka revealed, holding up three vials.
The students gasped. You turned and looked at Karasuma and Koro-sensei with a unique fire burning in your soul.
"Say the word and Takaoka will be knocked out," you said.
"How?" Koro-sensei questioned, slightly terrified by your expression.
"Don't ask how. Just say the word," you replied.
"Let Nagisa handle it," Karma told.
You did as you were told and waited to see what Nagisa was capable of. In the beginning, he put the stun gun in his waistband and held the knife out, then as he walked toward Takaoka, dropped the blade and did the powerful clapping maneuver in his face, causing Takaoka to drop to his knees. Nagisa used the stun gun on him and made sure the man passed out before giving you a thumbs up.
You ran up to Nagisa and hugged him to show your appreciation and gratefullness for his safety. The three assassins showed up not long after and explained that the virus wasn't real and that everyone would be okay in just a day or two, then they were whisked off in a helicopter for questioning.
"I learned a lot today, but thanks for having my back the whole time," Nagisa said to you.
"You can always count on me," you promised.
Not long after, the students were taken back to the beach as the sun rose in the sky with yellow and pink hues. The mission was one of danger and importance, but you found out just how strong your friendship was when you saw Nagisa in peril. But there was a lot more where that came from in the future.
