Chapter Eleven: Silhouette

The comfortable blanket of the bed is wrapped around me as the moonlight glows in the room. My eyes slowly open from hearing a soft noise. There I find a shadow beside the window, the silhouette is humongous and bulky. The shadow has broad shoulders, and a masculine body.

Unconsciousness consumes my body but not my sight, not be able to move, all I can do is stare. The shadow stalks towards me like I'm it's prey, the moonlight streams onto its face. Sea blue eyes stare at me. He has stubble growing as his blonde hair is quite long.

"You've grown so much." The man whispers, his voice is gravelly and deep causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand. Looking closely I've never seen him before. Still not being able to move my eyes start to slowly drop. Trying to stay awake, my eyelids drop even more.

"Sleep darling, I'll see you soon." He whispers one last time before darkness is all I can see, drowning in unconsciousness I drift off to sleep.

Sipping the warm coffee, my hands are wrapped around the mug. I don't know why but this house is freezing cold, it's never been a big deal until now. The hot liquid travels down my throat while I sit in the old library. I try to ignore all what happened last night, convincing myself it was a bad dream. I've moved on from the situation. Dale and I stayed up all night getting to know each other, we've learned a lot about each other. But neither of us mentioned family, maybe something terrible happened to his like it did to mine. That's probably why something like that happened last night, since I barely got any sleep.
