Chapter Fifteen: Shall We?

A knock comes from the door, rubbing my nose I try to clean my-self up. I don't know what time of day is, I didn't even know I fell asleep.

"C-Come in.." I stutter, my nose is sniffling still in the same vulnerable position with the soft blanket wrapped around me. The door creaks open as Jacob walks in. Looking away, I keep my head down. Feeling his stare on me, I don't look at him.

"Shorty?" He questions me, looking over I find him examine my face with sorrow in his eyes. Walking over towards the bed he sits beside me. Hesitantly he wraps his arms around me, moving me towards him my head is laid on his broad chest. Laying in between Jacobs legs his bulky arms are wrapped around me. This comfort causes the water works to turn back on, one tears falls soon they all fall. Sobs escape from me as my body shakes.

"Nightmare?" He asks me, shaking my head side to side. Jacobs eyebrows knit together with confusion.

"Memory." I say, answering his confused expression. He nods his head, telling me he knows how it feels.

"H-he died in front of me." My voice is shaky while another sob soon escapes from me. Jacob kisses my forehead, his embrace wraps around me tighter.

"You don't need to tell me if you don't want too. Just sleep, you need your rest." He states while looking down at me. Nodding my head, I snuggle up closer to him. Jacob's stare lingers on me while I drift off to the unconsciousness of sleep.

Fiddling with the ring around my finger, I sit in the library like usual. All the windows are closed as curtains cover them, trying to get this place very dark. Why you might ask? I've found comfort in the dark, of course not pitch back but a soft mellow darkness. You know?

Neither have I been a bright person, somehow I've always found things negative. Even though I try to be positive, there is always a negative in the world they try to hide.

Shaking my head from these thoughts, I return to read about Vampires. Since I live in a house full of them might as well learn about them. Waking up alone was normal, I've looked around the house to find Jordan eating a sandwich, as Dale is in his room watching TV. Jacob in his normal habitat, the office. Marcus is in one of the rooms I'm not allowed in.

Dale brought me to Jacobs room like Jacob asked, to be honest I can't remember what happened after Jacob walked out. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, not remembering some stuff after I've been waking up from deep sleep. Brushing off the subject I continue reading the book.

Learning about vampires has been interesting, apparently the ring that I'm wearing and the ring that the boys are wearing is very rare. Fiddling with the ring again, I remember some of things that I've read like you can't be turned into a vampire without vampire blood in you system. After you've swallowed their blood, you have to die. Then a few hours later you'll wake up. But when you wake up, you'll feel cold and a thirst for blood. Reading more and more, I've been more educated on vampires.

A knock is heard from the door, my head snaps over and telling the person to come in, Marcus steps into the library, with a smile on his face. Smiling back he sits beside me.

"Since you had no way of protecting yourself last night, I talked to Jacob and he agreed that we should teach you how to use a few weapons." He states looking at me with happiness, a humongous grin spreads across my face. Dad wanted to teach me how to use a few weapons but we never got the time to do it, might as well learn about it now. Nodding my head, the grin stays on my face. Marcus looks at me with joy before telling me to follow him. Leaving the library, I shadow his every step towards the room that I wasn't allowed in.

Marcus looks at me while his hand grasps the doorknob, still having the gigantic grin on my face I probably look like a maniac but to be honest, I don't care. Slowly the door creeks open, the light in the room is already on. Marcus moves out of the way so I have a big view of the room. All types of weapons are all hung on the walls, you name it, it's there. Axes, knives of all lengths, guns, swords and many bows and arrows. I stand in the middle with my mouth agape, all these weapons are beautiful. Sometimes I wish I could marry objects.

"You like?" Marcus asks while standing next to me, looking up to him I shake my head side to side. Looking back at the weapons I state, "I'm in love." Marcus chuckles at my response.

"Let's get started then, shall we?" He asks while grasping one of the knifes in his hand. Gulping down my fear, a smirk spreads across my face. This is gonna be awesome!
