As I ran out the door I had no time to wait for the elevator and ran down the stairs out the door and onto the sidewalk. I was half way there and I realized I didn't have any shoes on but at this point I didn't care. When I made it to the building I ran up the stairs and to his room. I knocked on the door until he opened it up.
"Hey Babe" he said as he opened the door "Hey mine if I come in for a minute" I asked "No worries" he replied as he gave me a kiss. I slipped in the door and walked into his room "Wheres Tom" I asked with suspicion "He went to go get some beer's but should be back" He said.
"Honey you don't have any shoes on" he added on " I know" I said back to him. I walked around the room to possibly find something out of place.
"I'm kinda glad you're here I missed you" he said as he pulled on my waist "Oh really" I said as I smiled at him "Your hair is different, it's like messy" I added on as I run my fingers thru his hair. "Ya bed head didn't brush it" he said as he pulled me in and kissed me.
As we were standing in the middle of his room talking and holding onto each other I looked over and noticed something different. "What's this" I asked as I walked across the room " I have no idea" Ron said "This is not mine" I said as I picked up a blue satin scarf with flowers and butterflies on it " I have never seen that" Ron said. "Ron what the hell is this because this is not mine" I said to him starting to become more and more ferocious.
As I held the scarf in my hand and have Ron looking extremely nervous the bathroom door opened and hit me in the arm. "Oh sorry" said a random girl " Ron what the hell" I said in such an angry tone "Thanks Ron i'll hope to see you again" she said as she took the scarf from my hand and left.
"It's not what it look's like" he said putting his hands up "So it doesn't look like you cheated on me with some girl" I said to him. "Listen-" he said before I cut him off "No you listen, how could you go out and cheat on me with some bimbo, I would honestly have you break up with me then cheat on me, you have no idea how embarrassing that is for someone not to be happy enough in their relationship to go out and cheat" I said to him raising my voice.
" I'm so sorry Fig's" he said "It's over" I said as I opened the door to leave. "Figgy wait" he said holding the door open "Jackass" I said as I walked down the hallway and into the elevator.
As I walked out of the building I started walking back to my room and of course when I thought it couldn't get any worse it started to rain. As I walk back to my hall with no shoes on and my feet getting all wet I start to think about what just happened. Why would someone cheat on me, am I cheatable?
I shamefully walked up the stairs and open the door " He was right, and also it's raining outside" I said standing in the doorway looking like a wet dog with tears running down my face "Oh Honey, you're a hot mess " Brittany said as she wrapped a towel around my shoulders. "Luke was right, about everything" I said as tears ran down my cheek "Well you don't hear that everyday" Brit said "He wasn't the one for you he's a jerk, I know for sure the one for you is out there you just, have to be patient" she added on.
Getting cheated on for the first time really took a tole on me. I felt as if I was just a little bit disfunctional, I mean I still went to class but other than that I spent most of my days in bed. Weeks have gone and since then I'v spent my time away from people besides Brittany. Also the fact that it's been raining non-stop outside.
"Again with the Louis Armstrong record" Brittany said walking into the room "It speaks to me" I said talking into my pillow "Girl, you haven't left the room in day's or changed clothes for a matter of fact" she said "No i'm staying here till I die" I said still talking to my pillow. Next thing I know Brittany throws her stuff on the floor and grabs my ankles. "Figgy get out of the bed" she said as she yanked me right out of bed "Let go" I yelled and were now wrestling on the floor "Should I come back" Luke said as he opened the door to see us on the floor.
I was kind embarrassed to have Luke see me in this state of mind but what can I say. "Brittany if you get off of me i'll get up" I said "Fine" she said as she got off of me "So what exactly is going on here" Luke asked "Were getting Figgy out of her break up rut" Brittany said "I'm not in a rut" I said getting off the floor. Brittany took a long look of me up and down "Is that why you haven't changed clothes in about four days" she asked "Whatever, i'll take a shower" I said getting my stuff and going into the bathroom.
I stepped foot in the shower and in a while I actually felt kinda good as if the water just washed away all of the sorrow I have been feeling. I stepped out and dried myself off to put on a new fresh pair of, well, everything. I put my hair up and touched up my face a little.
I walked out of the bathroom and put on my brown boots and coat "Where are you going all of a sudden" Brittany asked " Out" I said grabbing my keys "Well look at you taking on the world" Luke said "Yup" I said as I walked out the door. As the door closed Luke shouted "Look out world here comes Grace Figueroa".
I had no idea where I was going but I knew I was going somewhere, just not at the moment. As I walked around I thought why not go to the store on campus and get myself some groceries.
Yes my school has a store, it's sort of like a mini grocery store but just carries all of the essentials from paper towels, to coffee, to cans of tuna. I walked in walked out with everything I needed coffee,eggs,and my favorite snack goldfish. I decided to stop at the coffee place inside and grab a coffee since it was freezing outside.
