I woke up the next morning prepared to spend the whole day packing my bags. I rolled over and took a peek out my window with a slit in the curtain just enough to see the sprinkles on my window.
"What time is it" I asked Brittany who was also asleep "Nine" She said reaching down to check her phone. "Ugg" I groaned knowing I would have to get up soon. I rolled back facing the wall and fell back asleep.
My eyes slowly open to the sound of someone knocking on my door. "Who's at the door" Brittany asked "Does it look like I know" I said with the sheet's over my head "Well go answer it" she said putting a pillow over her head.
"Uggg fine" I said jumping down from my bed. I walk over to the door in a dead like manor. "Luke" I said as I opened the door "Hey, am I interrupting something" he asked "No me and Brittany just woke up" I said "It's eleven" he said.
I turned my head to look the clock placed by the window that reads eleven O'clock in red. "I guess you can say I majorly slept in" I said "You did" He said walking into the room and sitting down in my chair.
"Don't take this offensive but why are you here" I asked him "I don't know, I was thinking you might want to go and get brunch at The Hut with me" he said with a smile. The one thing I love more than coffee is brunch. "I'm in" I said as I headed to the bathroom to go and get ready.
I walked out of the bathroom in a pair of light jeans with my favorite black t-shirt. I walk over to my chair and grabbed my boots under my desk and slip them on. "You looks beautiful" Luke said to me "Even though i'm not wearing any makeup" I said "Even better" he replied. "Brittany i'll be back soon" I said as I grabbed my coat and scarf. "Whatever" she said heading to the bathroom. "You ready to go" Luke asked me as he grabbed my sweater and help me put it on. "Now I am" I said as I placed the scarf around my neck.
We walked hand and hand down to The Hut talking and laughing about the most random things. As soon as we got there we were immediately waited on. "Table for two" Luke said "right this way" said the waitress. We followed her to the outside patio. As we were shown to our table Luke pulled out my chair for me as I was about to sit down.
I look around and admire how little things can make an image so beautiful. Seeing the rain drizzle down into already pre-made puddle. The flower vines wrapping around the pillars. The sound of birds chirping and a feel of the fresh breeze blowing across your face.
"What are you in the mood for" Luke asked me "I'm thinking a quiche" I said to him "Well how fancy" he said to me. As we sipped on our coffees and dines on our food, we talked about the trip and what Ohio's like. I could see it on his face that he was excited to meet the other part of me, the home town me. The side I would have never wanted him to see.
I figured we would both walk back to our dorm's since we have a lot of packing to get done. Luke kissed me then we went our separate ways to begin the stress that is packing.
"Hey" I said as I walked into the room "Hey, where's Luke" Brittany asked. "He's at his dorm we both need to pack" I said "We're going to Ohio tomorrow, don't tell me you forgot" I added on "No I didn't forget" Brittany said "Brit" I said with my arms crossed and my eyebrows risen. "Okay I forgot" Brittany admitted. "Called it" I said as I walked over to my closet and slipped on a pair of leggings.
I pulled my suitcase out of my closet and laid on the floor. "So how long are you going to be gone" Brittany asked me "Four week's" I said as I was in the bathroom getting my stuff. "Thats a long time" Brittany said "Aww are you going to miss me" I teased Brittany "Maybe" she said "Sweet" I said to her.
I spend hours upon hours folding my clothes, making a packing list, double checking flight's. "So is you know who going to be there" Brittany asked "probably not" I said. "Hey hey" Luke said walking into the room "Hey babe" I said as I stood up and walked over to him. "Hey hun" he said as he hugged me and gave me a kiss.
"What is happening in here" Luke said walking over to my bed, "I'm packing" I said "Why is everything like everywhere" he asked me as he hoisted himself up on my bed. "Because this is what packing look's like and why are you even here shouldn't you be packing" I asked him and I placed more cloths into "I'm all packed" he said placing his hands behind his head and laying down on my pillow. "No way" I said in disbelief. "Yes way believe it or not sweetheart" Luke said in a cocky tone.
As Luke basically took a nap on my bed while I pack Brittany leaves the room to go out. One by one I place shirts,pants,dresses,leggings, anything you can think of in my suitcase. By the time I was done packing my my suitcase I look at the clock and see that it read Nine O'clock. "Luke,Luke" I said as I nudged him awake. "I'm awake" he said rolling over " Is that why you were snoring" I asked "Yes" he replied back "Are you done packing" Luke added on "Ya I just need my carry on" I said.
