Finally first semester was over and I can get the hell out of here for four weeks. The stress of final's were over now all I can think about is going back home to see my dad in Ohio. I basically dashed home to get a head start on packing and booking my tickets. When I opened my door I had already seen Luke sitting at my desk looking at airline tickets.

"Well look who got here before me" I said to him as I bent down and kissed him on his head "I figured I would just take a look at the flights" He said "So what are we looking at" I asked putting my stuff down and sat down on his knee "We can leave as early as the day after tomorrow" he said "The day after tomorrow" I said in a shock "Yup" he said putting his arm around my back. "I don't have time for anything to get done" I said to him "Well the next flight that isn't booked is in two weeks" He said.

I stared at him and thought long and hard about the next few words coming out of my mouth then I just caved in. "Book it" I said "Okay so flight leaves at five-thirty am Friday morning" He said getting out of his chair "Oh just kill me now" I said throwing myself on top of my bed. "Come on if we're leaving in less than two days we need to go get stuff" he said grabbing my arm and dragging me off the bed "I suppose" I said giving in.

I grab my keys and coat, then open the door to leave the room when we see Brittany coming down the hall. "Where are you guys going in such a rush" she asked entering the room "On a trip" Luke said as he closed the door.

It was partly rainy outside but we decided to take his car instead of walking just because we're lazy and we didn't want to get wet. Our first stop was the grocery store we could have gone to the one on campus but it didn't have all that we needed.

"In and out few things here we go" I said as we entered the store "Do we need a basket" Luke asked "No basket's will just slow us down" I said grabbing his hand. I hate grocery stores I always take longer in there then I need to be even if I just need one thing so the best thing to do is get in get out.

"So what do we need" Luke asked "I forgot" I said "You forgot, how could you forget" he asked me. It was true the one person that want's to be in and out forgot what to get. "Just get food we can eat on the plane" I said walking down the aisle with the dry foods. "Fine" he said grabbing a bag of trail mix. After we scavenged through the store we finally made it to check out and on to our next destination.

"Where are we going" I asked "You'll see" he said. As he pulled into the parking lot I saw the big circle sign, which only meant one thing. Target. Don't get me wrong I love Target but I try to avoid it over the holiday's since it's such a mad house. "Why do you hate me" I asked him "I don't hate you, it's just everything we could need is here" he said "Fine" I said as I sucked it up and went into the store.

As I stepped one foot thru the doorway I can already feel the cayos that I am about to encounter. People everywhere, kids crying, lines out the door, literally my worst nightmare. "It will be okay in and out just like you said" Luke said to me as grabbed my hand and we navigated thru the store.

"Do we need this" Luke asked me while holding up a towel "Why would we need that" I asked him "So we have a towel to dry things off with" he said "Luke were staying at my house i'm pretty sure I have towels"I said to him walking away "It was just a thought" he said putting the towel back.

We continued to walk thru the crowded store getting everything we need from travel sized bottles to a new pair of mittens. One by one our items went thru check out and were bagged. We made our way to the car as I piled all of my bags in the trunk and head back to the dorm's. On our way home I look outside the window and hear the tick's of the rain drops pecking on the window just desperately wanting to get in.

The clouds rolled in and rain began to fall quicker. The rode's became more slippery which worried Luke since he doesn't like to drive in the rain. You could hear thunder rolling in slowly from the south and the sound of car's running there tires thru the rain.

"Do you want me to drive" I asked him "No, we're almost there anyways" he said fixating his eyes on the road. I look over at him as he's driving and can't help but let out a smile. I finally found someone that I care so much for, but who knew all that had to happen was for me to get hit by his car.

I put my eyes back on the road when Luke looks over at me and in the corner of my eye I see him giving me that charming smile. "Luke watch out" I said as our car slipped in the rain and spun out on the road like a figure skater on ice.

When we finally stopped spinning we pulled the car off to the side. "Are you okay" Luke asked me as he had his arm extended across my body "Ya, are you okay" I asked him "Thankfully yes" he said. We sat in the car for a few minutes trying the gain the courage to get back to driving home. Luke looks at me grabs my hand then begins to get back onto the road.

We made it back to the dorm's bringing each bag up the elevator. "I'm home" I said as I opened the door "Hello, Brittany" I said walking into the room. "I guess she's not here" I said to Luke. We put the bags on the floor and as Luke sat down in my chair I plopped myself on my bed. Little did I know that almost facing death makes you really tired so I eventually drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up I checked my phone as it read the time as one-twenty three am. I look around and see that Brittany was asleep and my desk light was on with Luke still sitting in the chair fast asleep.

I slithered out of bed and walked over to my desk. I got down on my knees and put my hand on his back to wake him up. "Hey" I said in a whisper tone "Your awake" Luke said in his groggy state "Luke why are you still here" I asked him. He sit's up in the chair "I wanted to make sure you were okay" he said grabbing my hands that were resting in my lap. "I'm okay" I said holding onto his hand.

We sat there for a few minutes when I then realized what time it was. "You should probably go home we have a lot to do tomorrow" I said to him. "I guess you're right" Luke said as he got up and out of the chair. I walked him across the room to open the door.

"Whats wrong" I asked him "I'm sorry that I almost killed us today I should have been paying attention more on the road" He said standing in the doorway. "Don't blame yourself, the roads were wet, sometimes things happen and we feel inclined to blame ourselves for it even though it want's our fault, don't beat yourself up over it" I said to him.

He looked at me with a smile "I'll see you tomorrow" he said to me as he kissed me on the head and walked down the hall and into the elevator.

I watch him get into the elevator and then closed the door. "Who was that" Brittany asked still half asleep in her bed "You know just the basic drug deal" I said to her "Okay" She said plopping herself back into bed. I crawled into my sheet's and doze off to sleep with the thought of Luke in my head.
