I dove on the barely lit rode into town and parking in front of Barbie's. Barbie's was a local bar in town owned by Barbara Brown.
I walked in and took a seat at the bar. "Hey Grace" Barbara walked up to me. He was a tall man with light brown hair and a long beard. Tonight he was wearing black jeans with a red and black flannel. "Hey" I responded "It's been awhile" "Yeah too long". I laughed "What can I get you" he asked "Hypothesis" I said.
He bends down under the counter and takes out two bottles one for him and one for myself. He pops off the cap and hands me the bottle, we clank and drink. "This is the only place I can find this beer" I said taking another sip "Best bar, best beer" he smiled.
As we were drinking and talking a young girl walks up and takes a seat next to me, ordering a moscow mule. "Grace, Grace Figueroa?" the girl asked looking at me, I had a confused look on my face " It's Stoner, Alyson Stoner", "You just James Bonded yourself" I murmured to myself. "We went to high school together" she smiled "Oh yeah Alyson, we had government senior year" I tried to remember.
She smiled at me and took a sip of her drink "So what are you up to?" she asked. "Well I live in Orlando no with my boyfriend and I do a talk radio show" I took a sip of my beer, "Orlando, wow never thought you would leave Cleveland", "Well, people change" I said.
"What about you" I grabbed my bottle "What about me" she asked "What are you doing now and days", "I act, surprised you haven't seen me in anything" she had a tone. I rolled my eyes "I'm not much of tv watcher" I faked a smile "Well i'm also all over the new's for like interviews and such, i've been sort of a big deal lately".
This is why I hate running into people I knew in high school. "If you're such a big deal then why are you here" I asked "Just getting away from the fans and paparazzi" she took a sip of her drink. I got out of my chair "Well i'm not going to lie I didn't really enjoy running into you, but that's just me, maybe i'll see you around, probably not" I pulled out some cash to pay for my drink "It's on the house" Barbara said. I smiled said thank you and left.
