(Astrid's POV) I don't want to get out of bed, but I know I have to. I think about how nice last night was with Hiccup and how I get to see him again today. That gives me enough motivation to get up. I wake Stormfly and we head out on our usual morning flying trip. The sun is only just starting to rise. I notice that there's a breeze so I decide to let my hair down. The wind feels nice as it whips through my hair. My bangs sweep across my forehead as a large gust of wind hits my face. I hold on to Stormfly as she swoops and dives. It's so freeing to be up here flying. I lay down on Stormfly's back and stare at the sky. Out of the corner of my eye, I see something flying up beside me. "Why hello m'lady!"Hiccup flys next to me on Toothless who has a wide grin on his face, clearly happy to fly beside Stormfly. "Hiccup!" I reach over to hug him, but forget I'm hundreds of feet off the ground. I slip and fall face first off Stormfly. I plummet towards the ground for a few seconds before feeling Stormfly's tail wrap around me and set me safely onto her back. "I'm sorry if I scared you!" Hiccup laughs. "I'm just really excited to see you here! Since you've become chief, you been too busy to go flying every morning and, well, I've really missed that." I don't even try to hide the delight on my face. Hiccup has been very busy managing the village so I never get to fly with him anymore. Sure, he rides Toothless around Berk sometimes and occasionally flys to important Chief meetings on other islands, but it's never just for his own enjoyment. "I've decided to take a break from being Chief today, Astrid. I've asked Gobber to take care of everything. So, I have the whole day off, and if you don't mind, I'd like to spend all of it with you. We can do whatever we want with no interruptions!" Hiccup explained. "Hiccup, that's so sweet of you!" I beamed, "So, have you got any ideas on what you want to do first?" "Actually, I do." His face lit up, "Follow me!" He took off on Toothless. I followed him close behind. We flew past stunning rock formations and beautiful forests filled with colourful autumn leaves. Finally, we landed on a small island. It had a small pond and a waterfall flowing off the edge of a cliff, overlooking the breathtaking sunrise. We sat down, bathing in the warm sunlight. The dragons were busy catching fish in the pond. A flock of terrible terrors flew in. They were happily resting near the cliff. One of them snuggled up beside Hiccup. He seemed to be holding something with his claws. I looked closer. It was a tiny silver box. Hiccup took the box from the terrible terror. Before I knew what was happening, he was down on one knee. He opened the box to reveal a beautiful silver ring with a sparkly blue diamond in the center. My jaw dropped open and I covered my mouth with my hand is shock. "Astrid Hofferson, will you marry me?" Hiccup looked into my eyes. "YES!" He stood up and I leapt into his arms. Happy tears streamed down my face as I pressed my lips onto his. There are very few people who can make me cry, but only one person in the entire world can make me cry out of pure joy. That person is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.
