(Astrid's POV)
I go off to change into a less formal party dress before returning to the Great Hall for the post-wedding party. Tables and chairs have been cleared to the side to make room for dancing. Hiccup and I are both awful at dancing, but we decide to give it a try. We attempt to dance, slowly moving across the floor, both of us smiling like idiots. It goes well until I accidentally step on Hiccup's foot, making him stumble backwards. He manages catch himself before he falls, but as he moves in towards me, our feet get tangled again. This time it's me who stumbles. I begin to fall towards the ground, but am saved by Hiccup. He grabs my waist and dips me before leaning down to kiss me, making my mess-up look like it never happened. Hiccup can be quite awkward and clumsy, but somehow, today he manages to avoid that.

Once everyone has had enough dancing, we move onto cake! Heather had created an elegant white cake with four layers and swirls of gold detailing. I always knew she was good at cooking and baking, but this... this was just... amazing! She had created such a masterpiece I felt bad about eating it!

"Heather!" I gasped, "I'm speechless! This is beautiful!""Wow! Heather!" Hiccup stared in awe at the cake, "This is amazing!""Thank you, both of you

"Heather!" I gasped, "I'm speechless! This is beautiful!"
"Wow! Heather!" Hiccup stared in awe at the cake, "This is amazing!"
"Thank you, both of you. You two are some of my best friends in the archipelago, not to mention that Hiccup's also the chief of Berk. You deserve the best. Since you've both done so much for me, I decided I'd do something for you," Heather smiled.

I hugged her. She really had outdone herself! I turned to Hiccup and smiled. He picked up a knife and together we cut the cake. It was as delicious as it looked! Cake has always been a weakness of mine, so I've eaten lots of it in my lifetime, but this was by far the best!
"Mmmm!" I murmured between rather large bites of cake.
Right now I didn't care that I was talking with my mouth full or that cake was probably plastered across my entire face due to my messy eating. I was eating my favourite food in the world while standing next to my favourite person in the world.
"Let me help you m'lady," Hiccup reached over with a napkin to dab icing from the corners of my lips.
I laughed and continued to violently shove cake down my throat.
