Emma looked over at Harry an sighed. He's never going to ask me, she thought to herself.

Emma has alway liked Harry. Ever since she saw him at the Burrow she's always had a crush. The Weasley's adopted her so she was in the same year as Ginny.

The Yule Ball was coming up and Emma really wanted Harry to ask her, but she was positive that he was going to ask Cho or Ginny.

Emma saw Ginny walking towards her and they waved at each other. "Hey Emma!" Ginny smiled.

"Hey Ginny, how are you today?" Emma asked with a small smile.

"I'm doing good! Guess who asked me to the Yule Ball!" Ginny squealed.

Emma's faked a smiled. "Who?"

"Neville, I know he's not the hottest guy, but he's really sweet and kind!" Ginny told her.

Emma smiled in relief. "That's wonderful Ginny!"

Ginny smiled and hugged her. "Has anyone asked you yet?" She asked Emma.

"Um, no one has." Emma looked down.

"I'm sure someone will soon. I've got to head to class. See you later Em!" Ginny ran off as Emma waved goodbye.

Emma looked down as she walked. As she was walking she ran into something or someone and fell causing all of her belongings to scatter.

"I'm so sorry!" Emma exclaimed nervously an looked up to see a group of Slytherin kids.

"You should be sorry loser!" One of the girls spat at Emma and they all walked off laughing.

Emma's eyes started to water, but she blinked back her tears. She began to gather her things.

"Here let me help." Emma looked over and saw Harry helping her.

"Thank you." She blushed as he helped her stand up.

"You're welcome, I can't believe how some people can be so cruel." He told her.

"I know, it's crazy." Se replied.

Harry smiled. "Em, before you leave, I was wondering if you had a date to the ball yet?" He asked her.

Emma blushed again and shook her head.

"Well, would you like to go with me?" Harry asked.

"I would love too." Emma smiled and hugged him.

* magical time skip to yule ball *

Emma's golden blonde hair was in bouncy curls that fell to her lower back. She smiled and looked into the mirror as she added the finishing touches to her makeup.

She then put on her light blue dress the matched her eyes and it came a little above the knee.

She smiled and did a little twirl. She walked to the Gryffindor tower and waited for Harry.

Emma saw Harry walk out with Ginny, Neville, Hermione, Rob, and a few other people.

Harry's eyes trailed up an down her body and he smiled. "You look gorgeous Emma." He told her.

Emma blushed. "Thank you, you look handsome." She smiled.

"Thanks, shall we go?" He asked.

"We shall." She said an kissed his cheek.
