"josh!" tyler exclaimed, pulling on his boyfriend's hand. "hurry up! we're going to miss the sharks, and the stingrays, and the sea lions, and the-"

"tyler, tyler," josh said, cutting him off. "we have plenty of time here, baby, and the animals aren't going anywhere." he comforted, slowing tyler down.

"alright, fine. but i'm going to every single tank in that building." tyler said matter-of-factually.

josh laughed. "of course."

they walked into the cool building, the color blue surrounding them as huge tanks filled with aquatic life lined the walls. tyler grinned, pulling on josh's hand as he ran to the first tank. josh watched with a smile on his face as tyler pressed his hands against the glass, craning his neck to see all the way to the top of the tank. it must have been twenty feet tall, the bright plants and animals illuminating tyler's pale skin with blue and yellow hues. josh admired the way tyler's brown eyes grew wide with amazement as he watched the fish swim around the tank.

they traveled to the other large tanks down the large blue hallways, tyler pointing at different fish and naming them, and identifying his favorites. josh simply watched, admiring his boyfriend.

"josh! look!" tyler exclaimed, pointing at a small room with a sign over it reading "GIFT SHOP". "we have to go!" tyler said, grabbing josh's hand and dragging him inside.

josh pulled out his wallet as tyler scanned the wall of various stuffed aquatic animals, occasionally picking one up to feel how soft it was. he came to the small blue stingray and his eyes lit up, immediately grabbing it off the shelf and reading the price tag.

"josh!" tyler called, even though his blue-haired boyfriend was standing right there. "josh, it's only ten bucks, can we get it?" he begged, his eyes shining with joy.

josh smiled. "of course, sweetheart. put it up on the counter for the man to ring it up for you."

tyler grinned, putting on the counter so the cashier could scan it. josh payed and handed the stuffed stingray to tyler, who hugged it, thanking josh.

they made their way out, passing the large tanks so tyler could take one last look.

josh helped tyler into the car, his brunette boyfriend getting tired as the sun set behind them. josh buckled him into the passenger seat as he dosed off, his stuffed stingray hugged close to his chest.

josh let soft music play quietly from the car speakers as he drove, tyler sleeping soundly next to him. josh smiled as he looked over at his lover, the yellow streetlights above them reflecting off his skin.

josh pulled into their driveway, walking over to tyler's side and shaking him softly. "hey, baby boy, we're home." he said as tyler stirred. josh unbuckled him, sliding his hand under tyler's legs and against his back as he picked him up bridal style, carrying tyler into the house as he rested his head against josh's shoulder.

he laid tyler down on their bed, josh pulling the covers over him as he settled into the soft mattress. josh laid down next to him, letting tyler move to his chest, taking a fistful of josh's tshirt into his hand as he rested his head on his collarbone.

"i love you," josh whispered, kissing tyler on the top of the head. "goodnight angel."
