Emma's pov:

I was walking around the village when spotted Shadow standing outside a house, leaning against the wall and looking at the sky.

my smile was big as I ran over and gave her a big surprise hug.

"what? oh hello Emma" she after I let her go while I stared.

"err... is something on my face?"

"your eye is red instead of blue" I said and she sighed.

"Emma have you seriously not noticed you are looking at the eye that's normally hid by my hair? there is a burn over the other so it's for the better if I use this one instead of the other" she said.

"if you want to know, no I didn't notice.... but why hide it?"

"remember you didn't even know about me a month ago? well try to guess why, I tried to stay under the radar the more people they knew me the more chance father would find me.... I wasn't liked all that much either"

"oh Shadow"

"but that all served nothing! father knows where I am and is sending his minions after me" she huffed and walked away, I could tell she wasn't trying to end the conversation with that gesture so I followed.

"the creature was from your father then?" she nodded.

"it's a hellhound, a creature that only knows how to kill and the condemned souls are thrown to them so they can rip them up and be in eternal suffering" I shivered at the thought.

"how do you know all that much?" I knew it was a stupid question but said it anyway.

"I'm the daughter of both side Emma, I need to know what goes down in hell and up in heaven and I did things I regret a lot.... but I couldn't go up against my parents' word at the time so I did some unimaginable things and ruined lives of a lot while mother was the complete opposite.... and even then I know then I'm supposed to"

"what do you mean?" she turned to me.

"it would be easier to show you" she said and hit my forehead with her palms heal making me fall backwards.

"hey!" I yelled but was confused, I was sitting in white sand under a black sky, I stood up and looked around.

"what the heck?" I said.

"welcome to my mind" I turned around to see Shadow not too far from me, where did she come from?! she wasn't there a second ago!!!!

"what?" was all I could say.

"this is a landscape in my own mind and I kind of forcefully took you here" she said walking passed me.

"but then what's with my real body?!"

"don't worry I'm holding you" she chuckled.

"how can you hold me if you are here?!"

"Emma" she sighed "I'm here so much that I can be in here and still control my body, I can't talk as I'm talking here but I can move around even if most of the time I like sitting in place"

"this is what you do when you sit around with your eyes closed, you don't meditate but you are here right?"

"exactly"

"this is so strange"

"aren't I strange, remember this is my mind"

"right" I said, looking around but I only so sand and sky, nothing more.

"well hello there!" I jumped backwards and rolled down and sand mound in surprise.

"are you alright?" there was a blue hair girl standing in front of me.
