Nevada Love Pt. 3: Your Lips On Mine

Tessa POV:

I look out at the lakes, mountains, it's an amazing, soothing spot. But why is there tables and blankets, oh my gosh, is this a date? I Didn't know Emilio could be such a romantic.

Emilio POV:

I sit her down in her seat and put out her favorite foods while she is looking at the sunset. Perfect timing, sunsets are romantic. She is so happily surprised when she sees all the food. "I'm starving." She laughs while saying. "Good, dig in." I respond. We are eating and enjoying the view, we once again have our good, long talks. Once we finished I decided we should go lay on the blanket. "Come on." I get up, as does she, and we sit on the blanket and look at the sunset. It's getting late, it's getting cold, but I didn't pack anything for the night time air! Emilio, why do you do this to yourself?!

I could tell she was a little chilly but not too much. I put my arm around her, she lays her head on my shoulder. Tessa is comfy. It's getting darker, the sunsets ahead, but behind us are stars.

Tessa POV:

"The best time of day." I say breaking the silence, that only wind has so far. "You know, Tessa," Emilio starts, "I've really liked you. I ran away from the challenge, because I was jealous, because I was scared." I don't know how to feel, I've talked this over in my head Team 10 won't approve of this possible relationship. "Scared of what?" I ask, but I think I know the answer.

"I was scared that after your kiss with Chance, you would realize that you like him, and then you know, you run off together, live life, and be happy." "Exactly like we are doing right now?" He looks up at me. "Emilio, we left the state, just so we could get alone time, and I thought that's what I wanted, alone time with you, but now that we're here, I don't know." He breaks eye contact. I get up.

"You know the team won't like whatever we are doing here, so why do it?" "Because we want to!" Emilio shouts. "Because I want to love you, I want to call you mine, I want to. I really do." I turn around, I don't know what to do. I like him, but I can't be with him.

"Tessa." He says softly, when I don't answer he just continues anyway. "I don't want to question what I feel anymore, I want to know, and I want to know now."

"I'm tired of running, maybe if there is nothing here, we won't have to run from anything." I try to say as nicely as possible. "Anyone, you mean?" Emilio says looking disappointed. "I don't give a flipping squirrel about what Jake thinks." I know he's right, I shouldn't care what anyone else thinks, but I do, and that's something I can't change.

"Take me home." I say as I slowly start to the car, but as I take my first step, Emilio grabs my arm and turn me around before planting his lips on mine. It starts out gentle, but gets more intense as the time passes, the sun is almost fully down, but there is still some light so where I can see the dim of his lips as we release. I never wanted something so much in my life, and now that I got it, I finally feel like I can just let go. Besides, Team 10 doesn't need to know anyway.
