josh told tyler he would pick him up friday at 7pm sharp three days ago at the party.
currently at school, they haven't shared any words besides the simple 'hello'.
josh didn't know why he suddenly stopped conversing with the tan boy. its not that he didn't want to, it was that he was starting to feel uneasy about the fact that he would have to tell his dad at one point, if things did get serious.
he knew his dad would kick him out. he would never be able to see his mother ever again.
he did want to try it out, he did take a liking to the boy. he wasnt scared of anyones opinion on their possible new relationship but his fathers.
he wasnt dating the boy yet, they haven't even had their first date yet. so why was he so nervous about it? he didn't have to tell his father about going on a couple dates. only if it became official. it was only fair, he would feel as if he was lying if he didn't tell.
when the red head was a young boy, he was always told about how bad homosexuals were. as if they were as bad as a man who killed another. he remembered nodding along to his fathers antics, feeling bad for homosexuals who ran into the old religious man.
ever since he was young, he never believed it was wrong to fall in love with someone of the same sex.
when he was merely 8 years old a boy his age moved in next door. he remembers thinking how cute he was. he had a jet black fringe and ocean blue eyes. his skin was as pale as their shiny white house. his name was phillip lester and boy, did the curly haird boy have a crush on him.
phillips parents were two girls. he had two moms. joshua didn't even blink when he was told this, not noticing anything wrong with the equation.
his father, on the other hand used his free time to harass them.
he would call them names when they left the house, he would even call the cops saying the poor child was being neglected. he wasnt being neglected though, but the police did take him away anyways.
before that whole fiasco happened, phil and josh were innocently playing in the backyard. joshs mother said his father wouldn't be home for another hour or so, so it would be okay to play for a while.
but for some odd reason, he came home early. he walked into the backyard just when joshua innocently laid a simple kiss to his crush's cheek.
he was yelled at for a week straight before phil got taken away.
his father made sure to call him the worst, most offensive names you could call a homosexual.
the natural brunette has never cried more in his entire 8 years of life until then.
he has never seen phil since.
he would be lying if he said he wasnt terrified of that happening to the innocent brown eyed boy he would hopefully soon be dating.
he didn't know if the brunettes parents accepted him. probably not, though, not a lot of people over the age 18 seemed to be open minded enough to accept it.
he hoped they did. he wanted to be able to hang out at his house without hiding any feelings. god knew he would never be able to at his house, or even in public without getting harassed.
lunch was next on his agenda, so the red head decided he would take the brunette away from the crowds to talk to him somewhere more private.

"why are we in the janitors closet?" tyler giggled, looking around the small room that smelled of cleaner and mold.
"wanted ta' talk to ya' without people lookin' and listenin' and such." josh answered, directing his love to sit down next to him on the concrete ground.
they sat criss-cross applesauce facing eachother, knees touching and glistening eyes on the others.
"i jus' wanna know what your parents think about you bein' homosexaul," the red head started, "..are they okay with it? my mamas okay with me bein' bisexual, bu-but my pops isn't. so if we-"
the brow eyed boy put two delicate fingers over the others mouth, making him abruptly stop rambling.
"my mama and papa dont like it, but they still love'm 'n all." tyler responded with a giggle, pulling his nimble fingers away from the others face and setting his hand on his knee. "they won't be mad if i getta' boyfriend. they've gotten used to it by now."
joshua smiled at his crush, putting a hand over the brunettes smaller, less calloused one.
they sat like that for minutes, but it seemed like hours to them. smiling like goofs and looking fondly into eachothers brown eyes.
tyler loved the way the red heads eyes would crinkle at the sides, making his asain background more noticeable in the most adorable way.
"lets get to lunch, you could sit by me if you'd like?" joshua offered like the gentleman he was, playing with a hem falling from a seem on the brunnetts washed blue bell bottoms.
"thanks for the offer," tyler declined, "but i don' really get 'long with your friends."
the mocha eyed boys face dropped, remembering all the things his supposed friends said about his little love.
"okay," joshua said, "maybe 'nother time. see ya' friday?"
"see ya' friday." tyler said, sending the other a smile before swaying his hips as he opened the closet door, and made his way back to the lunch room.
