Love Hate (Dan Howell)

Chapter 14-Sleepover

'How can you be in love with someone who hates your guts? You're supposed to hate them, but it's come to the point where it's impossible'

Dan finally came round, he agreed to take part as long as we play the games and do the things that he wants to do, which I of course objected to but he started calling Alex names again so I finally agreed.

Phil keeps on giving me pitiful looks after I told him I love Dan, I think I've known it for a while now but I just couldn't admit it to myself, so I admitted it to Phil. He swore on his own life not to tell a single soul, he thinks it will keep me from dating Alex but I don't want this to get it the way, because Dan will never like me back, never mind love me. He hates me. And there's nothing I can do.

I called Alex earlier, to ask and he seemed more than excited about it.

"Phil?" I call from the living room, he emerges from the kitchen.

"Yeah?"

"Alex said yeah" I say and he grins

"Annnddddd, do you want to be in my new video?" I ask him and he nods gleefully.

"When you filming it?" He asks

"Probably tomorrow" I answer and he nods.

"Hey, come in!" I say to Alex and open the door wide for him to come in.

Phil comes down the stairs and greets Alex with a warm smile and a man hug. We all walk through to the kitchen, my fluffy socks sliding across the laminate floor, we set out some sweets and crisps on the kitchen table earlier so we all sit around the table (including Dan) and munch on some crisps and awkardly sip some lemonade.

"So Alex, what's it like working in Starbucks?" Dan asks Alex.

Alex answers with "It's pretty uneventful to be honest" I feel so sorry for him, he is such a fan of Dan and Phil and Dan says horrible things about him behind his back, it makes me feel sick.

"But you work next to Skye, wouldn't that be exciting enough for you?" Dan retorts, I know he's taking the piss, so badly so I kick his shin lightly under the table, he doesn't flinch.

"I love working next to Skye, it's just the job in general" he answers, I don't think he realizes that Dan is trying to make him feel uncomfortable.

Phil bites down on a crisp and breaks the awkard silence that has built up. "So will we get the tents and stuff out then?" Phil asks and we all nod. We all get up but I grab Dan's arm and pull him back so it's just him and me left in the kitchen, I pull a little to hard so he is just inches away away from my face, I can feel his breath down my neck and the goosebumps raise on my arms. It takes me back to Phil's birthday when he kissed me, how I wish he could do that again, I just need to feel his lips on mine once more and I will be content.

He speaks and it brings me right back down to earth.

"I know i'm irresistible Skye, but there's no need to get that close" he says and, of course, has that stupid cocky smirk on his face that I have learned to love.

"Shut up Daniel, and please try to be nice with Alex, he really likes you and Phil!"

"Sorry, I'm straight"

I could actually slap him right now, I have to attach my hands to my sides to keep myself from doing it.

"I don't mean it like that, I mean he's a fan of you two, and to be quite frank, you should be grateful of him, he is subscribed to your channel, he follows your Twitter, your Instagram, your Tumblr, and he watches your radio show" I prove him wrong and he stays silent, he's still not moved and I still haven't let go of his arm yet so I quickly drop it and swiftly walk past him.

"Oh! I have a game idea" Dan says, we have two tents out but I don't think we are even going to use them, our sleeping bags and duvets are all over the floor.

"What's that?" I ask.

"Truth or dare" he says and my heart drops because I know he is going to make me do or tell somehing I really don't want to do or tell.

We all nod and Dan starts.

"Skye, truth or dare?" How did I know I'de be first?

"Truth" I say, mainly because I can't be arsed moving out my sleeping bag.

"Okay, so do you fancy Alex?" he asks, great. I wonder how the rest of the night is going to go.

"Em... well we only just met..." I start

"So that's a no?" Dan smirks, I feel my cheeks burning up and can see Alex looking down awkardly out of the corner of my eye.

"Dan I never-

"You had your chance Skye, c'mon, ask someone" he cuts me off.

I scowl at him and turn to Phil "Truth or dare?" I ask him.

"Dare" he replies. I take a few seconds to think up a dare for him

"I dare you to prank call one of your contacts" I say and he laughs.

He grabs his phone and starts to scroll.

"Stop!" I say after about 7 sexonds of scrolling.

"It landed on Joe. Joe Sugg" I immediately feel bad because I've met Joe and he's really nice.

"What should I say?" he turns to me.

"You should say that you slept with Skye and got her pregnant!" Dan buts in as I didn't really have an idea.

"NO!" I shout.

"it would be quite funny" Phil says to my surprise.

I turn to Alex who agrees it would be funny. I sigh and let Phil do it.

It rings about 5 times and Phil puts it on loudspeaker.

"Hello?" Joe picks up

"You alright Joe? It's Phil here"

"Oh hey Phil! What's up?"

"Em, I just have a big secret that I just think I should maybe tell you, but it's pretty big so you can't say anything"

"Okay mate, I won't, have you told Dan?" Dan's mouths 'yes'

"Yeah" Phil tells him.

"Okay, on you go"

"Well on the night of my party Skye and I got really drunk, and like we started making out and stuff, then one thing led to another and we slept together..."

"You didn't!" Joe exclaims, he sounds shocked

"Yeah, and she took a pregnancy this morning  and... it's positive" I facepalm because this is so stupid.

"Aw man, I'm so sorry" they end the conversation and hang up, we all burst into fits of laughter.

We play on until the early hours of the morning until we're all really tired, "okay, last one, last one" Dan says

"Alex, truth or dare?"

"Dare"

"I dare you to make out with Skye."

Why Dan? Why? I decide to stop being such a wimp so I stand up, grab Alex's hand and lead him out the room, but before I exit the door, I say straight to Dan's face.

"It's not as if we haven't done that before."

I'm reaalllyyyy sorry I haven't updated in ages, I just went back to school last week and homework is ruining my life. Also, I know all the really offensive things Dan says and all the cocky things Dan says in this are things he would never actually say-Megan♡
