I walked around from the large shed as my black wolf and stared at the auburn wolf. It was the most stunning wolf I'd ever seen. She had white paws but otherwise was completely auburn, I'd never seen anything as beautiful, her pearly, blue eyes light up in the sun. I'm transfixed.
As we run, everything is a blur. I forget that she's there, it's been so long since I just let loose and her presence - strong as it is - is forgotten. I run for over an hour before I look back. She's not there. My wolf spins around, surveying every inch of the forest, I howl, calling out to her. I run back in the direction we came in until I catch her scent. Following it I get to a cabin - the same one I found her in - and notice her scent splits off. One goes back in the direction we came from and the other goes passed the cabin and towards a small clearing. I follow the latter and find myself in unfamiliar surroundings. I stare out into the forest where her scent leads. Continuing to follow it I reach a thick tree with moss growing at the bottom. Her scent weakens here, she must have shifted; 'That's why she took her bag with her!' I realise... Her scent is much weaker but, nevertheless, I follow it. After another hour another scent mixes with hers. It's unfamiliar but stronger - a male. Instinctively, I follow the male scent hoping that he has news of her whereabouts. As I follow it the scent becomes stronger, my wolf is a lot faster than their human forms, and I can tell I'm not too far behind them so I start sprinting. Soon a male form appears not too far away, his scent practically surrounded me. That's when I recognised it. Casey. The ex-Alpha I overthrew. The bastard! I can't see her but the scent is so strong now I can tell he's the one intertwining his scent with her. I growl. I charge in that direction but he was too far away for me to reach him before he throws a small figure into a black SUV and speeds off. Sprinting in just before he pulled out the drive I barely managed to get a flash of the number plate; The last 3 figures - 4YI [Author's Note: I don't know how number plates work, sorry not sorry]. I howl. I hold my wolf back from rushing onto the road, last thing we need is hunters on our back, my wolf shivers at the memory...

---

I ran back to the pack house and called an emergency meeting with my beta and father.

"Slow down, Jasper!" My Father said

"I CAN'T SLOW DOWN!" I snarl "SHE'S MY MATE!"

"And we'll find her, you just need to tell us everything."

"I have." I shoot, my wolf speaking for me.

"Jasper, calm down." My Father reassures, "We can find the SUV and follow their scent. Don't stress. We will find her. Are you sure it's Casey?" I shoot a look that made him look down. Of course I knew it was Casey. I throw myself at my chair and shut my eyes, focussing on her. My vision goes black. Shít. She's blindfolded; the bastard. I look up

"Call our best trackers. I'll get her scent and they need to find her... somehow" I order while heading up the stairs to find something strong with her scent.

I come down with two t-shirts, a pair of jeans and a hairbrush - all used by her recent enough to still hold her scent. I hand it to the trackers and they leave.

---

A few hours have passed; the waiting was killing me. I focused on her again and could make out a bit of her surroundings. The blindfold was taken off now but the room was dark. I could feel her pain, a dark scar was forming along her arm - she had been cut with silver. I'm going to kill that man when I find him. There's one small window in the corner, it looked as though she was in a basement. The concrete walls and lack of natural light - or light altogether. It took all my energy to urge her to walk to the window, she wasn't constrained but the door was locked. She was sat on a small wooden chair before she got up and dragged it near the wall. It's one of the benefits of being an Alpha was being able to 'suggest' an idea through a mind link. When we weren't mated I couldn't mind link her normally just yet. She stood on the chair and looked through the window. The bars obstructed her view but I could make out a hotel and a block of flats; They looked rundown and dirty - probably somewhere in the city. I think I recognised the motel, I'd seen it on my way to visiting packs. I cleared the image and called to Stefan.
