Jasper guided my hand towards our room, sitting down and yanking me with him.
"Mya. There's something about me that you need to know." He mumbled, wringing his hands.
"It's okay." I place my hand on his knee and dragged his gaze up. He took a deep breath and places his own hand on top of mine,
"I have.... a condition. It's genetic and it may - although unlikely - transfer to the babies." I nod "It's a condition that has only ever ran in my family. When we first met, I was so happy and excited to see my mate I forgot to take my medication. That's why... that happened" He indicated to the mark on my neck and I smiled meekly - unconvincingly - back at him, "It's when my wolf takes control - not shifting - but he controls my actions. He was upset and frustrated, I hadn't gone running for a while, and he was annoyed you hadn't accepted us yet. I am more than sorry for it... the good thing is that there is medication you can take but there isn't a cure." I nodded again, trying to take it all in. My eyes had drifted to the corner of the room and I could hear Jasper's heavy breath as I thought. I took a deep breath and turned to him, his deep blue eyes showed worry and hurt,
"It's okay." I say with as much confidence as I could, reaching my hand up to stroke the side of her face, "You can't always control your wolf. And it's better now. If the babies do have it then we'll help them, get the medication you take for them." I pat his knee. "Thank you, for telling me." I add as I stand up, straighten my top down, and walk towards the bathroom,
"Do you want me to join you?" Jasper scrambles across the bed
"Hmm, maybe next time." I giggle as I give him a seductive face and start unbuttoning my blouse. I give him a smile and shut the bathroom door and lock it behind me. As I step into the deep bath I submerge my head in the soft bubbles. The lights above me flicker and switch off leaving only the small mirror light on to illuminate the room. I looked around and sighed, no doubt it was Jasper's lame attempt to scare me. I chuckle lightly to myself and relax again. I must have gone to sleep because the next thing I heard was the - now lukewarm - water around me splashing. I opened my eyes and Jasper was standing over me. I laughed and kicked him right in the balls and laughed eve more when his hands flew to his privates and he let out a high pitched squeal. He jumped out the bath and started hopping up and down. He cursed loudly and I could hear a laugh echoing from Emily's room,
"You b!tch!" Jasper growled and I grinned smugly back at him.
"Shouldn't have gotten into the bath should you?" I replied, grabbing a towel off the shelf and getting out the bath. He growled back at me and left me to get dressed again. I slid the clothes on, staring at how the top sat wrong on the bump, now growing into a moderate bulge. I flew out the bathroom and charged at Jasper who was standing just next to the bed. We fell backwards together onto the soft, large bed and rolled around. We laughed loudly and Emily banged on the wall,
"TRYING TO SLEEP IN HERE!" She yells through the wall. This only makes us laugh louder and I could hear the irritation in the loud sigh Emily made as she slammed our door shut. Me and Jasper fell silent for a moment, listening to her curse as she stomped back to her room. We giggled quietly for a minute as I rolled to the side and stood up.
"I've invited Jensen to dinner tomorrow night, and the pack cook will be coming over to prepare." Jasper spoke up after a prolonged silence
"What? Why the pack cook? Is my cooking not good enough?" I questioned, slightly insulted.
"The pack cook is making the meal" Jasper wrapped his arms around my waist and spun me around, "Because I've arranged for a little shopping trip for you and Emily, you're going to need some maternity clothes soon." He finished as he sunk down and placed his hand on my bump. I wriggled out of his grip,
"Fine." I agreed half-heartedly, swinging the door open and skipping down the stairs,
"Where are you going?" Jasper called, catching up with me with only a few long strides,
"Hot Chocolate." I stated simply, "EMILY! Do you want some hot chocolate?" I shouted,
"YUM!" Emily called back, jumping through her door and running down the stairs. Jasper rolled his eyes at me as I poured the steaming milk into the coco powder. Passing the mugs to Emily and Jasper I took a seat on the bar stools and sipped the scolding chocolate, ignoring the fact it burnt my tongue. I could feel the hot liquid slip down my throat, focusing on the comforting taste from childhood - my father always used to make us hot chocolate and tell us bedtime stories. I felt the familiar sting in the back of my eyes and my vision blurred as tears threatened to pour from my eyes. I blinked them back and looked down. When my vision finally returned to normal I looked back up to the concerned eyes of Emily. I looked at her, urging her not to ask with pleading eyes. I watched her slowly open her mouth but decide better of it and ignoring my brief moment of sadness. I place a content smile on my face, fighting back the urge to run.

As I sat on the small bed I watched Jasper whiz around, organising different things, before he sat down on the bed next to me, laying out his legs and reaching for a book on his bedside table. I reached my arm out and pulled his back to his lap. He looked at me with confused eyes and I began to speak,
"I never told you. About how I knew Casey." His face shifted from concerned to angry. "I knew him before..." Jasper nodded curtly, "When my pack was attacked"
"By Casey" Jasper cut me off,
"I know that now. But at the time I believed he was called Isaac. He helped me run away and find safety. I thought he was my friend, so when I found his scent when I ran away, I wasn't scared. I thought he could help me. And... you know the rest." We sat in silence for a moment, then Jasper began to chuckle. I looked up at him, slightly upset.
"I'm not upset you didn't tell me you knew Casey." He explained, "You had a lot going on and you thought he was called Isaac. You couldn't exactly tell me you knew Casey if you knew him as Isaac." He said and I smiled weakly at him as he returned it, sympathetically. "Get some sleep. You've got a long day tomorrow. And, after dinner, I have a little surprise." He winked with a beaming smile on his face. I sighed and pulled the covers on the bed back, climbing in and switching the light off. I felt Jasper climb in after me and soon the room went dark as he flicked his own light off. "Good night Mya." He mumbled, his warm breath tingling down my neck.
"Good night Jasper." I replied, closing my eyes and letting the familiar hold of sleep wash over me.
