You and Cheren were currently working on a project together for school. You didn't understand why Cheren wanted to work with you. You were very bad at doing projects with other people.

You started to get nervous. Cheren was the smartest person in the class. And you were afraid to mess anything up.

"So. . . What's the project again? I-I'm sorry. . ." You asked quietly.

"The project is to make up a figure, and you have to reflect it, rotate it, and translate it," Cheren explained.

"What is it called?" You wondered.

"Transformational Geometry," Cheren replied.

You two stayed silent for a moment.

"I'm sorry," You said.

Cheren looked at you in confusion.

"For what?" He asked.

"I'm asking you too many questions. . ." You answered.

Cheren smiled.

"There isn't a such thing as asking too many questions!" Cheren told you.

You sighed.

"Cheren, out of all the people in the class, why did you choose me to be your partner?" You finally asked.

"(Y/N)," Cheren started, "I see a lot of potential in you. You aren't like anyone else. And that's why I asked you."

You smiled.

"You think I have potential?"

Cheren nodded.

"I do (Y/N)," Cheren answered.

You hugged him.

"I've never had anyone say that to me before. . ." You told him.

"Well now I'm telling you," Cheren replied.

You two pulled away from the hug.

"Should we get started on the project now?" Cheren asked.

"Yeah!" You answered happily.
