Cancer (Sakura X Calem)

He only had thirty minutes left to live. Sakura along with Calem's family was beside him while he was in the hospital bed.

"Sakura. . . Please don't cry. . ." Calem said softly.

Sakura could tell he was sick. Bags under his eyes, and he coughed a lot.

"I don't understand. . . Why you?" She cried, "Why wasn't it me?"

"Don't say that!" Calem said, coughing.

Sakura sighed. Seeing her best friend like this made her feel worse.

"Hey mom. . . Could I have some privacy with Sakura?" Calem asked.

His mother nodded, and the rest of the family left them alone.

"You know, I appreciate you being here with me. . ." He said.

"I'll always be here for you Calem!" Sakura told him, smiling slighty.

Calem smiled back at her. That was the first time she's seen him smile in forever.

"Sakura, I need to tell you something. Something I've been too scared to say," He said, sitting up a little.

"Wh-What is it Calem?" Sakura asked.

"Sakura. . . I've had a crush on you, for a long time. . ." Said Calem.

Sakura was surprised. She never thought Calem would like her.

"You, have a crush on me?" She asked.

Calem grabbed her hand.

"Yeah. . . Which reminds me. . . I have a favor to ask you," Calem replied.

"Y-Yeah, What is it?" Said Sakura.

"Kiss me. . . Before I die. . ."

Sakura's heart skipped a beat. But she nodded.

She leaned down, and kissed him passionately. You two broke away, and the machine started beeping.

"I love you, Sakura. . ."

After that, it was flat. He reached his death.

Sakura sobbed when he died.

She didn't get a chance to say I love you back. . .
