Chapter 13

"You thought we were watching frozen!" Luke laughed at me. I don't think Luke could understand that I couldn't watch these movies, I'm that afraid.

"Do you want me to end up crying?" I looked at Luke as he was still laughing.

"Awww your so cute when your mad!" I couldn't believe it. He was still laughing. I pulled my hand out if his and crossed my arms and looked away from him.

"Come here!" Luke pulled me so that my leg was over his and my face was on his chest. His arm was around my lower back as he held me in that position.

The TV started to make that suspense music. Where it just keeps building up and up and then it just disappears and you have to wait for that moment where the devil on the screen jumps out at you and the music is at full blast again. Just to scare the crap out if you. When that bit happened I screamed with all my lungs and I got out of Luke's grip, jumped over him and slid under his sheets like there was no tomorrow. By this point I was breathing hard from the adrenaline.

"Luke can you turn in off." I broke into a sob. Jesus Luke why did you make me watch it. I know it hasn't finished but I can't watch anymore.

"Are you really that scared?" He asked me while pausing the DVD. I nodded and then I realised I was under the sheets so he couldn't see me.

"Maybe." I'm trying not to sound like a complete scardy cat.

"Awww!" Luke pulled the covers down so he could see my face and see that I was crying. He put on a sad face and hoped under the covers with me. He pulled them over us as moved his body closer to mine. The amount of body heat that Luke produced was unreal. It was so cosy. He put his arms around me and I did the same. Absolutely shit scared that something is going to haunt me from watching the film. And now the picture is still in my head. And I can't escape it. We looked in each other's eyes as Luke wiped away my tears that had escaped.

"No more scary movies. I promise!" He held out his pinky. I locked mine around his and prayed that this promise is one of the ones he doesn't break.

We ended up kissing under the covers because we always do. But this time there was more meaning. We were so intertwined with each other that things now were starting to get out of control. I started unzipping my jeans and Luke was helping. My shirt was already off with my lace black bra exposed. My jeans now were on the other side of the room and we kept kissing, both running out of breathe.

"Wait..." I tried to get out between the breathing. Luke was just looking. As though he knew. He put his finger over my mouth to shut me up from saying anything else. He kissed my forehead and pulled me close to him. We ended up laying there for an hour. Just laying there. Like we had nothing better to do.

"Hey Em!"

"Yeah."

"If I was to ask you to be my girlfriend, what would you say?" I froze. Completely frozen. I knew this day was coming. And to be honest I was so excited for it deep down. But now that it's come, my answer is stuck in my throat. But why? I asked myself. Is it because of Jesse or because it's Luke. I don't know. But...

"I would... Say... Mmm-hmm!" It was the only way the words were going to come out.

"Is that a ...yes?" Luke was confused. I could see it on his face.

"You could say that!" I teased. Just watching Luke's face while he was trying to figure out if I'm saying yes or no.

"Ok, well, here goes! Emma, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked after he cleared his throat. He was so cute.

"Mmm-hmm!" I said trying not to sound too keen. Which means that now Luke Hemmings is my boyfriend and I couldn't possibly be happier. Even though he left and didn't say goodbye. It's now that he's back that I don't have to say goodbye. Because he's not leaving. And I know this time. It's the truth.
