Chapter Eighteen

"Sasuke, your sexy sensei didn't even say anything about agreeing to marry Lord Shigezane." Yuki sighed as she ruffled his hair.

"What? How can you betray the Sanada clan and marry an Oshu lord knowing that they're Sanada's long time rival?!?" Akihime suddenly voiced out with venom as Lord Masayuki stepped forward, glaring at Yuki.

"Who sent you the proposal?!" he demanded.

"Lord Masamune." was Yuki's bored reply. "But remember this Lord Masayuki. I am ultimately a shinobi. Every shinobi have a ninja code they individually live by. So it's technically not betraying even in Japanese culture if a shinobi choose to live by his or her nindo."

Lord Masayuki clenched his jaw as Hotaru, still blushing, spoke up.

"My nindo way is to protect people who are vulnerable and defenceless on the battlefield even if they are my enemies' people. Saizo's nindo is to strictly follow orders and not go off course..."

"And my nindo way is to clear up any evidence after every mission. So technically it has nothing to do with being bound to a clan unlike Saizo's nindo..." Yuki replied Akihime and Lord Masayuki with a smirk as Nobuyuki stared at her...

"What?" Yuki asked, her red eyes boring back into his blue ones.

"You can't marry him." Nobuyuki answered simply as Yuki frowned.

"Who are you to decide for me? Like I said I'm not bound-..."

"You can't marry him because you're marrying me." Nobuyuki said simply as Yuki's eyes never wavered from him and everyone's jaws dropped.

"You-you're serious nii san?!?" Yukimura finally spoke up, extreme shock on his face.

"Well you little brother has known how long I've been in love with Yuki here..." Nobuyuki answered with a smile without a hint of embarrassment.

"This is a shock... This is too much for me to take in... Come on, we're going back to our part of the castle..." Lord Shingen shook his head as he pulled Lady Kiku and walked off...

After they were gone Hotaru was the first to break the silence...

"You've been in love with my sister???" Hotaru exclaimed. "Wow you have extremely bad taste I must say!"

A twitch appeared on Yuki's side of her head as she took a shuriken and threw it at Hotaru, who swiftly avoided it.

"That was coated with my special poison... And trust me little brother, that miss was on purpose..." Yuki threatened with a sweet smile as Hotaru gulped..

"Father, let me marry Yuki and we'll carry on the bloodline for you. So please stop pressuring Yukimura and Lina..."

"Hey I didn't say I'd agree to marrying you!" Yuki scoffed as Hotaru smirked.

"Guess we siblings have the same answer eh Nobuyuki sama?"

"Wait a minute! What was that about Nobuyuki sama and Yuki here continuing the bloodline?!? That doesn't change the fact that Lina here is still unable to produce any kids for Yukimura sama!" Akihime snapped as her parents pulled her back to stand between them.

"Akihime! Please watch your mouth!" her father chided as her mother nodded.

Lina closed her eyes and took a deep breath to compose herself but a voice cut off her thoughts...

"Father, call off this engagement! I don't wish to marry Akihime!" Yukimura suddenly voiced out, his voice filled with anger. "I don't even understand why you're forcing me into this! I already told you many times I'm in love with my wife and that is Lina chan! Please stop making me do all this nonsense arranged marriage of yours!"

Before anyone could answer Akihime gasped in shock.

"How could you say that Yukimura sama! We have been spending so much time together and gotten so close with each other! Don't tell me you've forgotten about our intimate moments while training!"

"What intimate moments?" Lina asked sharply as Saizo raised an eyebrow at Yukimura, staring him down.

"The-there wasn't any intimate moments! Stop it Akihime! Why are you lying?!?" Yukimura lashed out, his face was flushed red as Lord Masayuki frowned at his youngest son.

"Did you do anything indecent to her?"

"What?! NO!!"

"Yes you did! You were totally feeling me up when we were training as you were straightening my posture and everything!" Akihime protested as her father frowned at Yukimura too...

"Is this true Yukimura sama?"

"NO!!! Come on that's just ridiculous! Lina chan you've got to believe me!" Yukimura pleaded but his pleas fell on deaf ears as she walked over to Yuki, Sasuke and Hotaru...

"Come on Saizo, we're going back to the shack." Lina said simply as the four ninjas followed after her...
