- 10:05 pm: Monday night, Kou Gasai -
Exams were finally over and we couldn't do anything special over the weekend because of our exhaustion. Apparently the tough exams weren't enough so the teacher gave us homework right as our registration session started.
"Okay, now that most of the students are present. I would like to introduce a new student to you all. Please treat him nicely as you would with your friends. Please come in!" She smiles and the door opens to reveal no other than the idiot himself. He walks into the class with a fake smile but even that goes away when he sees me. He regains his composure and introduces himself to the class.
"Hello everyone. I am Kino, nice to meet ya." He says and the teacher tells him to sit behind Alisha. My gaze turns to her who is sitting right next to me, of course: she is smirking at me.
"Alright kids, your classes are about to start so take the books you need. Oh, and before I forget, your exam scores will be emailed to you by this Friday." She announces and groans are heard right after as she leaves with a motherly smile.
"Great. How you doin' Kino?" She turns around instantly and he looks at her with a blank expression.
"Not good. I was forced to come to this damn school." He grunts and proceeds to stand up.
"Damn. I think I know how you feel." She replies and swings her bag around her shoulder while getting up as well. "Alright then, see ya later!" She says while Kino simply waves. I stand up without even looking at Kino and take my bag with me towards my locker.
"What's up with you?!" I yell at Alisha who is 6 lockers away from me. She looks at me and closes her locker door.
"What did I do?" She pouts and walks up behind me while I take my books out. I close my locker and turn to look behind me.
"Why are you talking to him?" I ask while I point towards the classroom we just came out of. She sighs and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Darlin', stop being so mad about such little things. Really." She sighs again and starts walking away to our English class. I stop right next to the entrance when I spot Kino already sitting down and only two seats available in the class, the two next to him: one to his left and the other to his right. "Well, looks like you are in luck my dear." She sings and sits to his left while I sit to his right.
"Wow, I'm stuck with you to my right." He mutters while I glare at him with my hand resting on my cheek.
The whole day went on like this, he is almost in every class with me or Alisha.
"This is not fair!" I yell and people around me turn to look at us. "So not fair! Why is he in every class with us?!" I ignore the people and keep yelling as Alisha looks around in nervousness. "And how dare he taphhhpmmhmh!!!" I mumble louder when Alisha shuts my mouth with her hand and drags me out of the school building.
"Shut. Up." She strictly says but I don't stop even when we reach to the brothers who look at us weirdly.
"Mmmpphhhh! Mph! Mph! Nmmpphh!" I shut my eyes tightly and yell as hard as I could but she keeps her hand over my mouth.
"That's it. What the hell is wrong with you?!" She looses her composure and yells in my ear. I growl and bite her palm, causing her to shout and jerk her hand away.
"You motherfucker! What are you trying to do, huh?! Kill me from air loss?! This fucking day is so pissing off! That bitch annoys the fuck out of me and now you won't let me fucking talk!" I yell and breath heavily as everyone stares at me in shock.
"Kou... your eyes: they are b-bleeding." Alisha says in terror and I cover my eyes while shutting them tightly.
"What... What is going on?" Ruki asks as Kou and Azusa come next to me to hold me straight. Kou lifts my chin up and looks into my bloody eyes.
"The pupils are red as well. Kou, do you have any power that might cause this. I might know something about it if that's the case." He says and looks at me to speak up. From intense, pain: I close my eyes and answer.
"Not that I know of." I grunt and turn my head to the ground. I feel a pat on my shoulder and look to see Alisha.
"Come on, I'll take you to your doctor." She says and I nod hesitantly. "He will definitely know what is going on. He better." She growls and takes me away from everyone. "We'll see you guys later." She turns her head to the large group staring at us in worry and gets on the bike. I sit behind her and hold her shoulders. I sigh in pain and place my head on her back.
"Don't worry, I'll call him as soon as we reach home." Alisha mumbles through her helmet while I wait until we reach home. She helps me sit on the sofa in the living room and sways her hand in the air while mumbling summoning chants. "Akira! We need your help!" She calls through a small portal that is sized about her face.
"Hm?" I hear a mumble very close to me and look up to see the black haired man right next to me. I jump back and gasp when Alisha turns around to see him already there. She sighs and closes the portal, then runs up beside me. "What is wrong with her?" He asks as he looks firmly at me eyes. His eyes narrow as he places his fingers on my cheek and thumb under my eyes. He puts force downwards through the thumb placed right under my eye. He looks thoroughly through my eyes while Alisha starts speaking.
"She has been facing rising anger these days and today, she was screaming around out of anger when all of a sudden... her eyes started bleeding. Her iris simultaneously turned red as well." Akira suddenly stops inspecting me and looks at Alisha.
"Iris turned red? No signs of loss of control?" He asks cautiously as he sits straight. Alisha shakes her head and Akira wraps his fingers around his chin. "These simply seem symptoms of sudden variations in emotions. You said she was starting to be very angry these days, right?" He looks at me while he asks the question, Alisha and I nod. "Hm, are you perhaps... going through your monthly cycle?" I look at him in surprise and he puts his hands in front of him as a defense.
"Don't look at me like that. It is possible that we could be looking at it more complicatedly than it really is. It could just be her menstrual cycle while we are thinking of it as a symptom of her disease." He says and shifts backwards.
"You don't have to ask that question." I pout and look at the ground. I feel a pat on my shoulder and look up to see Akira looking at me sternly.
"I am a doctor Kou, it is my job to ask everything so I know the reason of a situation." I sigh and nod in co-operation. He removes his hand and stands up. "Alright, so her eyes were bleeding, her iris changed color, she had control over her body and mind, no other reasons for her to act this way." He says to himself and turns to Alisha. "Do you know the reason she is experiencing such anger?" He asks and Alisha looks at me, then back to him.
"Um, there is this guy who has been pissing her off a lot. His presence itself makes her blood boil." She hesitantly explains and Akira turns to me with a slight chuckle. I glare at him and he clears his throat.
"The things you have told me lead to a lot of possibilities but right now, we can only depend on the variations in her emotions. Kou, I want you to remain calm as much as you can. Too much ups and downs can be dangerous for your health. Just like Vengeance is, you know she can kill you if you make the slightest mistake. This might have the same effect on you- or it could be that she is trying to take over your body completely.
At any cost, try to maintain a balance between what and how you feel. That would be the best step for now. I will come by later and check on your progress and changes. Just do as I say for now and until I find a solution. Until then, farewell." He waves and disappears in thin air. Alisha comes beside me and wraps her arms around my shoulders.
"Don't worry, it will all be fine. I won't let Vengeance take over you." She says and I hug her back with a low hum.
