That day, the next day, I walked in silent mode inside the school building, gripping harshly the stripe of my guitar case. I was nervous about seeing Liam. It was early, which meant he probably wasn't there yet... but what if he was? There was no Noel to save me. I had to be sneaky, which wasn't really hard for me, especially at 8 am.

''Hey Jules,'' I sighed once I reached him, he was cleaning his locker.

''Hey buddy, what's got you sighing now?'' He asked with a small frown, still looking inside his locker.

''Liam of course,'' I said rubbing my temples.

''Come on, I thought we had that figured out, that incestuous shit can't bother you now.'' He chuckled. It was easy for him to say it, he wasn't part of the mess.

''Maybe, but with him, you'll never know...''

Liam was known for trouble, for fights, following after his brother's steps. Noel was just like him when he was younger, even worst, they say. Liam knew I wasn't gonna tell anyone, he knew and that was for sure, he could tell on me and I'd still stay quiet. But there wasn't anything he could get out of the situation so I just had to trust he was gonna stay quiet too.

''My sweet Miles, you know he's not gonna tell, he doesn't fucking care, he just likes to act like a tough guy. Just let it go.'' He said as he fought with his locker, he couldn't make the bloody books fit like he wanted.

I nodded my head even though his attention wasn't on me. So I directed mine to the school's doors when something instantly caught my eye. What in the world...

''Jules...'' I said, without getting an instant response. ''Jules, do you know that bloke?'' I said louder.

''What bloke?'' He asked mocking me.

I pointed at him and Jules stood by my side, to get a better look. I could see him shaking his head through the corner of my eye.

''Never seen him before. But he's not from here, look at those clothes.'' He said weirded out.

It was true, he was... odd. He looked about our age. His hair was totally bleached and the sides of his head were shaved. He was pale as paper, enough to see the distinct dark circles under his eyes from where we were standing. He had black boots on and gray tight jeans. A red sweater covering his thin torso. He looked like a posh punk. Incredibly odd. But he still seemed nice, he didn't look like trouble at all, which made me more upset.

''Who the hell is he?'' I asked without expecting a response. ''Are they friends or something?''

''I mean I guess, they look pretty happy...'' He said. ''Why? Are you jealous?'' Julian asked grinning.

''No you prick, I just wanna know his fucking deal.'' I spatted.

After a few minutes of us staring, the two lads said their goodbyes, and a happy Damon finally walked closer to us, more like skipped. With a big smile on his face, that traitor cunt.

''Hey la-''

''Who was he?'' I asked without missing a second, trying to act intimidating.

He made a funny face and looked at Julian, who shrugged.

''Hello love, that was Jamie,'' Damon smirked.

''Jamie who? I've never seen him before.'' I said sternly, did he think he had the right to just talk to strangers? Vey well fit strangers? In front of me?

''Jamie Hewlett, he just moved here.'' He answered with that smirk.

''And what's his deal?'' I asked.
