Chapter 3

After class the next day, Dani basically locked everyone in the dressing room until they agreed to listen to what she had to say.

“Kora and I though it would be brilliant to-”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Kora was not a part of coming up with this idea. Kora was dragged into it by her crazy best friend and said best friend’s boyfriend.” I clarified, making sure everyone knew this was in no way my plan.

Danielle rolled her eyes at me. “Anyway, you all know I’m dating Liam from One Direction, right?” She waited for every to respond before continuing. “Okay, I thought it’d be sick to perform with the boys in three weeks at their charity ball while they sing I Want. The dance will involve a lot of dedication since it has to be perfect in three weeks and a lot of partner work with the boys. I need three more girls to volunteer.”

“I can’t,” Melanie immediately said. “I already have too much on my plate.”

“Same here,” Megan added.

“We’re in,” said the twins, Raleigh and Rayna, at the same time.

Dani looked at the four remaining girls. “Just one more. Come on ladies.”

I rolled my eyes as the four girls just looked at each other. You think they’d be jumping at the opportunity.

“I’ll do it,” Bailey, the shyest member of the group, spoke up, raising her hand.

Dani clapped excitedly. “Yes! The rest of you may go.”

Once everyone else left, Dani had the rest of us sit in a loose circle.

“Okay, today we are going to the ballroom where the event will take place to meet the boys and see how much space we will have. Remember, there will be wires and equipment everywhere while you’re dancing so we’ll have to make sure there’s plenty of room.” She said, looking each of us in the eye.

Raleigh sighed, looking off into the distance with a dreamy look upon her face. “I can’t believe we’re meeting 1D.” Suddenly she gasped and looked at her sister. “Ray, what if one of them falls in love with us?!”
Her sister squealed. “That’ll be the best day of our lives!”

They both grabbed hands and squealed again.

Can you tell they’re only fourteen? Good thing they were phenomenal dancers or else they wouldn’t have much going for them…

Danielle snapped her fingers at the screaming twerps. “Girls, enough! You have to behave and act professional around the boys at all times. Besides, they’re all at least four years older than both of you. No trying to date any of them.”

“But, but-”

Dani held her hand up to stop them. “Enough. Now, you two,” she looked at me and Bailey, “are free to date any of them except Liam and Louis for obvious reason.”

My jaw dropped at her statement while Bailey just giggled.

“That’s not fair!” Rayna complained.

“Why do they get to, but we don’t?” Raleigh added, glaring over at me.

“For one,” Dani began to tick off her fingers, “Kora’s two years older than you and Bailey is four. For two, they are both more mature than either of you. For three, I said so.”

I wanted to stick my tongue out at the twins, but decided against it for I didn’t think that’d show maturity very well.

Danielle looked at the clock on the wall before standing up. “Alright, we have to go. The boys are expecting us in fifteen minutes.”
