My Tea Mate (CAMREN)

Pool Party

So, a casual hang at a stranger's house turns into a not bad pool party. Awesome last day of break, and I mean it, so yay.

"Please swim with me." I say as I wake up from my thought. 

She smiles, again, "okay, I'll change after you."

After we are all changed, the boys are surprisingly too, man they got good abs. Lucy too, I mean why the fuck does she hate her body, it's so good, obviously better than mine, I only have an eleven, but her abs are visible.

We all go out to their garden again and see the dads already starting to barbecue, mmm that smell gets me drooling.

As I close my eyes and enjoy the smell of garlic and meat, someone behind me pushes me into the pool, I scream. Brrr the water is cold, but somehow refreshing ahhh, that's nice. No I'm not peeing. 

As my head crosses the surface of the water, I see all eyes on me. I turn around to find who pushed me, the two boys behind Lucy both point fingers to Lucy as Lucy bends down giving me a hand. 

"Are you okay?" she asks as she spreads out one of her arms.

"Yeah, thanks" I say as I grab her arm and pull her into the water.

The boys behind her laugh and Lucy screams too. By then I know it was one of them who did it. 

When she comes up the surface I smirk and chuckle at the same time. "Sorry to pull you in, I wanted to trick the boys." 

"It's fine" She wipes the water off her face, "I don't know how else I would've got in, this is way too cold."

"Too cold? You wanna get out?" I point to the surface.

"No, it's fine I'm already in, I mean if I knew it was this cold, I wouldn't have came in - if I had a choice." she says.

I nod, "oh" realizing if I didn't do that, she wouldn't have been down here with me.

I sadly turn to the dads who are grilling. 

"Girls, we're having lunch soon, better dry yourselves." Lucy's dad says.

We then get out and right before we go in the house, I whisper to Lucy something, causing the boys to wonder what it is when Lucy laughs out loud and nods.

"Boys! I need your help with the tables!" The dads yell, and just before they move, Lucy and I each push our brothers into the water as revenge. We both laugh so loud with everyone else.

Lucy and I quickly get to the spot near the grill and sit down side by side. I grab out my phone and ask her for the wifi password, and after I'm connected, I see no new messages from Camila. I'm so depressed.

Taylor joins us and asks what we've been doing, I point to the pool, and she cringes, "lucky~  I can't"

As girls we all understand. The dads are back with the moms following the boys who are now completely wet, hahaha. 

Then we all gather around the big table with food in all of our plates. Now it's social time aka the time for me to zone out. 

I jump up when my dad asks Lucy what she's accomplished so far in the first semester of school, and she says, "I came out to everyone I know and I am very happy." Suddenly all eyes are on her. "I have to thank my parents for that, they have been really supportive, my brother too." She looks over to him, and they exchange smiles.

My mom's face changed from smiley to nothing, blunt. Then Lucy's mom ask me and Taylor the same question, Taylor answers hers with no problem and then all eyes are on me. I hesitate and say, "me too, I also came out, but not to everyone, just to my parents. I didn't continue because my mom hasn't been really supportive."

Awkward - silence.

Everyone now looks at me like I'm naked, did I say something wrong?

Lucy's mom comforts me by saying everyone needs time for something, then we all move on. 

"Mr. Vives? These taste really good" I say, "and good job dad!" I compliment them. 

They thank me and everyone else agrees, this is the most fun I've had in days. I'm surprised to realize that the fun was made with a girl I met literally an hour ago.

Before my family leave, Lucy and I exchange numbers in case we wanted to hang or something in the future.
