My Tea Mate (CAMREN)

School

School. My happy life is here. Today is Sunday aka the sign up day. Even though it won't be that long, I am still excited to be there with all my friends. 

When I eat breakfast, I check my phone and finally there is a notification from Camila.

Camila: omg Lauren im so sorry, my mom took away my phone right after I sent that and confiscated it for the whole day yesterday.

Camila: You're still my friend right?

I hesitate for a second, thinking how are we not

Me: ofc Camz, why r u asking?

Camila: good, then you didn't break my heart yet :)

Me: good, see you Camila ~ 

Camila: cya! ❤️

The first one I see is Ally, I scream run to her with a hug ready. Then we enter the classroom together seeing all the obnoxious boys and some of our friends.

Dinah and Normani come closing in on us and we group hug. Just when I'm about to let go, I hear a sudden flash of Camila's voice outside the door. Sounds like she just got here.

How am I obsessing over her again?

I peak out the classroom door and look for Camila, there she is walking to the bathroom, with the girl in a high ponytail, Ariana. Ariana's hand is looped in hers, they seem so close, I'm sad.

"Camila!" screams Dinah from behind me, shit.

I want to hide behind the door but Normani blocks me and now Ariana and Camila are both looking at me turn back around towards them. Fuck this is awkward.

Half of my body still hiding, I wave with a smile that can not be faker. Camila then quickly jogs over to me leaving Ariana behind, making me happy again.

I look over to Dinah, she smirks then turns around mouthing a "you're welcome" with a wink following. Normani also leaves, leaving me and Camila alone.

"Hi!" says Camila with a wave.

I smile shyly, "hi Camila." I come out of my classroom, as I see Ariana turn around and going in the bathroom alone. Ha. Ha.

I give her a hug and Camila comes in to me, we hugged for almost 5 seconds. I'm gonna tear up omg.

I miss her smell, her hugs, her voice, her smile, everything. 

"I missed you" murmurs her beside my ear in the middle of our hug.

"I miss you too, Camila" I say with a smile as we break apart.

Then my teacher comes and says "hey Lauren!" then suddenly stops as she sees Camila, "Oh, you two again, how were your summers?"

Camila and I exchange looks and both say "good" at the same time with a smile following. Woah that's so friendship goals.

 "Ok good, umm Lauren come in we are about to start." She points in my classroom.

"Yeah, ok" I say before turning back to Camila.

"Wonna hang after this?" I ask Camila with a shy smile.

"Yeah! If I finish first, I'll wait for you at the usual spot." she says with a smirk.

"Kay, see ya." I wave with a smile, boy I missed this.

Then there goes about an hour over how stressful this semester is going to be with the graduation exam and shit. As a straight A student, I don't give a fuck. I keep hoping this will be over soon.

And finally when the teacher is assigning us seats, I see Camila pass our classroom with another girl on her side with that same ponytail Ariana has, duh it's her what am I saying.

My mood suddenly changes and when the meeting is finally over, Dinah walks over to me with her hand in Normani's, "Hey, wonna hang at Starbucks?" she says.

"No, I've already got plans, sorry." I say as I'm packing my bag with all the new text books I got from the meeting.

Then they make a sad face and leave. I also leave and go to the usual spot where Camila always waits for me. She's there thank god, I thought she ditched me.

"hi!" says Camila with her excited tone, making me smile.

"hey again, Grandpa Tea?" I ask with hesitation.

"You know it!" says Camila as she walks with me.

Long story short it felt like the summer never happened, and that it's just another week of school from last semester.
