Chapter 14

I walked up the stairs and hopped in the shower. I kind of felt uncomfortable without Damian around to keep alert for me. So it's up to me now. I washed my hair and body and stepped out of the shower. I threw on white shorts with a purple top. I brushed threw my hair and pulled it into a bun. I sat down on our bed and opened up my new phone. I looked at it for a minute and walked into Damian's office. I turned on his computer and waited for it to load. I charged the phone while I waited. I turned it on and looked threw it. Finally his computer turned on.

I got the phone working. I put Damian's number in my phone and texted him, telling him it was me. He didn't reply so I'm guessing he was already on his plane. A soft knock came from outside the door. I looked up from the computer.

"Come in" I said putting my phone on the desk. Rose walked in and shut the door behind her. "Hi Rose" I said shutting down the computer. "What's up?" I asked.

"I was wondering if we could go to the mall? I really need some new clothes and you have a very good taste in clothing, so I thought you could help me" She said sitting in the chair in front of her. It actually did sound like fun.

"Sure! I would love to! But I have to run it by Daniel first, he's babysitting me" I put quotes around babysitting. I know Damian just wants me to be safe but I'm old enough to be on my own. I have all the other pack members to, that I'm postive wouldn't let anything happen to me. I stood up from my chair and took Rose's hand and walked out of the office. We walked downstairs and I found Daniel and Austin playing games in the game room.

"Daniel?" I asked. Daniel looked up at me and paused the game, making Austin growl. I rolled my eyes. Austin was probably still mad about getting in trouble for breaking my leg. I wonder what happened to him...

"Yes?" Daniel asked breaking me from my thoughts. I shook them away and looked at him.

"Is it alright if me and Rose go shopping?" I asked.

"Sure but Damian told me not to let you out of my sight so Ill have to-"

"Do you really want to go shopping with two girls in a mall for hours?" I cut him off. He bit his lower lip.

"I really should go"

"I won't tell Damian if you won't" I tried to compromise

"But if something happened to you, I would be dead. Like legitly"

"What would happen to me? I have been a rogue for 10 years! I can handle myself and Rose" I put my arm around Rose and smiled.

"Ok fine, but please call so I know your alright"

"How about you call me?" I asked smiling. "I would probably forget anyways" He nodded and sat back down next to Austin.

"Have a good time" He called after us as we headed out the door. I grabbed a pair of keys on the shelf and hopped in the car the keys belonged to.

"Wait, Laila do you have your licence?" Rose asked. I laughed

"Nope" I started the car and backed out of the driveway.

"Please don't kill us" Rose said. I smiled and headed for the mall.

"Rose relax, the malls not far from here" She seemed to relax a bit but not much. I knew some things about driving. I took a drivers test once and then the alpha found out we were on his land and we ran like there was no tomorrow. I smiled and remembered all the good times with Emily. Maybe she would like to come...no it's quality time with Rose. I can go shopping with her tomorrow or something.

When we pulled into the parking lot, I looked for a place to park. The mall was farely busy. I ended up parking in the back. I sighed and stepped out of the car. Rose was by my side when I started walking towards the entrance.

"So Rose, do you have a boyfriend?" I asked taking a glance in her direction as we walked into the building.

"No I'm waiting for my mate" She said with a little blush on her cheeks. I smiled and nodded.

"How about we get some food first then start shopping? I'm starved" Though when wasn't I hungry? I asked myself. She nodded and we walked to the other side of the mall to the food court. I ordered the same burger and fries I did last time when Damian and I came here. I already missed him! You can't blame me, he's my mate after all! Rose had subway. I was a fast eater so when I was done I watched Rose eat her food slowly. I noticed a group of guys looking our way, obviously checking us out. I wasn't even interested at all, once you find your mate, it's like every oher guy is nothing.

I noticed them start walking over here. I stood up and took my food to the trash can. Hoping they would leave us alone if I left. But when I came back they had all pulled up chairs and were sitting around our table. I wanted to growl at them for doing that. I did notice that they weren't human. I sighed and sat down. They all looked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Rose are you almost done?" I asked, getting annoyed by their staring.

"Yeah" She whispered. I looked at all of them.

"I'm taken so bye" I said standing up. I took Rose's arm and pulled her up.

"Hey!" She protested. "Let go! I wasn't done"

"Rose" I warned.

"Let her go, She obviously doesn't want to be around you" A husky voice from the group said. I snapped my head at them and growled lowly. I slammed my hands on the table making everyone stare. Some even jumped in surprise.

"You will not speak to me that way" I warned lowly for only them to hear

"An alpha female" The same guy said. My temper was rising. Did I mention I had like the worst temper in the world. He stood up at kept his eyes on me.

"Rose, let's go" She didn't object this time. I grabbed her hand and started walking away. The leader grabbed Rose by her other hand. I threw Rose behind me and stepped back from the guy. "Don't touch her" I growled. I took my phone out of my back pocket and handed it to Rose, unnoticed by the group. She knew what to do. The guy took a taunting step towards me, "Take another step and I will kill you" I threatened.

"Kill me? A she wolf?" He laughed along with his group. I clenched my hands at my sides. I listened in to the conversation behind me.

"Tell her not to fight them. I'm on my way" Was the only thing I heard Daniel say before I was on the ground with the guy hovering over me.

"Aiden becarful, we don't want to make a scene" One of his group membered said.

"To late" Aiden growled in my face. I kicked him off my and took Roses hand and started running towards the door. I made sure to keep her running in front of me. Damian would kill me If I let anything happen to her. I was tackled to the ground.

'Go find Daniel' I told Rose threw our mind link.

'I'm not leaving you' She said. I threw my elbow back and jabbed it into the guys side.

'GO!' I yelled. I made her flinch but she obeyed. My alpha toned rised in me when I said it. It was almost an impossible to not obey. The guy grabbed my wrists and held them tight together. I kicked my legs everywhere trying to get lose. I managed to kick him in some places but nothing seemed to effect him.

"I will him if you don't sit still" I still continued to kick. Not knowing who they were talking about. "I know where he is. In one phone call I can have him killed. You would never be able to see your precious little Damian again" He whispered in my ear. My eyes turned black as night and I attacked.
