Chapter 10
I sat up sweating in bed. My heart was racing, images of the dream flew threw my head. It just seemed so real. The pack I'v been looking for found me and Emily but they got to her first and killed her. I was next and they killed Damian. I woke up just before the knife killed me. Tears came from my eyes as I thought of losing Emily and Damian. I looked over and noticed Damian wasn't in bed. I needed him.
I got out of bed quietly and tip toed to the door. More than likely he was in his office working. I tapped on his door. No answer. I slowly opened it and no one was in there. I closed his door and walked downstairs. Tears still came from my eyes. I needed him so bad right now and I can't find him. I walked into the kitchen and it was completely empty. I checked the living room and no one was there. I looked at the clock and it was 3am. I listened around the house for signs of him but I heard nothing.
The front door opened and I turned around. Damian walked in sweating a little.
"Laila?" he asked. I threw myself into his arms and cried. "Shh" He rubbed my back while he held me. "Are you ok? What happened?" he asked. I looked up at him and kissed him passionately. His arms came around my waist protectively, holding me closer. He pulled away and I laid my head on his chest.
"Where were you?" I asked
"I went for a run. I didn't think you were going to be up"
"I had a bad dream and I needed you" I looked into his eyes threw my watery ones "But you weren't there" He wrapped his arms tighter around me.
"Let's go upstairs and talk" He lifted me up and carried me up the stairs. When we reached his bedroom he set me down on the bed. "Let me take a quick shower" he kissed me and left for the bathroom. Five minutes later he was back and in bed. He pulled me closer to him. I rested my head on his chest while he stroked my hair. "What was your dream about?"
"The pack I'm searching for killed Emily and you. I watched them torture and kill you. I woke up without you here and I got worried" he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck.
"I'm here and I won't let you go" He whispered in my ear.
The next morning when I woke up, again he wasn't there. I sighed and sat up. I looked over at the clock and it read 11. I knew he couldn't stay with me for that long. He needed to get his work done. I limped out of bed. I noticed my leg was not hurting as much as usual. I didn't take my chance of walking on it. I walked down the hallway to his office. I put my hair up and in messy bun. I noticed a group of male wolfs sitting outside his office. Their eyes snapped over to me when I stopped in front of him.
All their eyes scanned over my body. I was in short shorts and a singlet. Blush rose to my cheeks,
"What can I do for you sweetheart?"
"Is Damian in there?"
"He is, but I think you should stay out here and talk with us" He said stepping closer to me, I loud growl came from inside. Damian threw open the door and was in front of me, in the guys face. His arm circled my waist from behind.
"Go change" He ordered me.
"Why?" I asked. He turned around and looked at me.
"Only I can see you in that, not them. Go" His wolf was on the edge of coming out. "And you" He turned around to the guy. Damian stepped closer to the guy and was up in his face. I slipped out of Damian's grip and stood in front of him pushing his chest back.
"He didn't know Damian" Damian's eyes were glued to the guy behind me. "Dammit Damian look at me" His eyes snapped down to mine.
"What?" He growled. I was taken back by his words but refused to step down.
