Chapter 15

I whipped around and hit the guy so hard in the face. His other group friends tried to restrain me but if he even goes within a mile of Damian I will rip his head from his body. I loud growl came from my chest as they started to hold me down. I kicked one of them in the face making him stuble back. I couldn't help but notice all the humans just standing and watching. Their instincts told them not to come near this fight. My alpha side was coming out stronger than ever. my mate protective instincts were about even with the alpha side.

Some say the males are more protective of their mates than the females to the males. But when you threaten to kill the only one I can truely love, you will die. I had already lost to many people in my life an I will not lose anymore. Aiden punched my in the head making me fall to the ground. Blood trickled out of my mouth as I stood up. I whipped it away but I just came back. I threw my foot around to kick him but he caught it and my head bashed into the ground. The last thing I saw was Daniel mad as hell running towards us.

Some say the world will end in fire, some say ice. I say fire. If fire destroys everything, what will you have? Nothing. I was the earth and they were the fire. They destroyed my everything. The burnt it to nothing. If ice destroys the world, all it will do it freeze everything up. Though it's dead, you can still see it threw the sheet of ice. I would rather not see it and be remind of it.

My surrounds came back to me. My hands lightly traveled along the soft blanket. I fluttered my eyes open. The room was dark. The fire in the fireplace flickered. I couldn't help remember the dream of the fire destroying everything. My everything. I groaned and sat up. My head killed. What happened? The more I thought about it, the more things started to come back to me. Questions soon filled my mind.

Why was I on the couch? How did I get home? What happened to Aiden? How long have I been out? I hope Damian wasn't home and saw me like this. He would kill Daniel. Daniel, where was he? I slowly let my feet touch the floor. The blanket feel at my feet. I stood up. I grabbed the corner of the couch, my head spun. Everything in the room was spinning in different directions. It soon pasted and I stood up straight. I walked out of the living room and upstairs to Daniel's room. I knew he was probably sleeping. With his mate most likely. I sighed and remembered Damian. I hope he was ok. Did he know what happened?

I knocked on the door quietly. A yawn ecasped my lips. I heard russling around in the room. The door opened and Daniel was rubbing his eyes.

"What?" He asked. When he could see straight he noticed it was me. "Laila, thank god your alright" He hugged me and closed the door behind him. He put his arm around my waist and slowly lead my downstairs. He put me back on the couch and he walked into the kichen. He came back a few minutes later with two mugs. I smelt the air and he was holding hot chocolate, my favorite. I nodded my thanks and took it from his hands. I sipped it and set it on the table to cool down.

"Daniel.." I started. I looked up at him threw my messy hair. I quickly pulled it into a bun and wrapped the blanket around my legs. "What happened? Does Damian know? Who were they? Why did they fight me? What did they want? Are they dead?" The questions rushed out of my mouth so fast. Daniel cut me off.

"Slow down Laila, one at a time" He took a deep breath.

"After I saw them knock you out me and the pack took them hostage and they were being kept here. Yes Damian does know, He wanted me to keep them alive for him. They were rogues. They were fighting you because they umm wanted you" He looked up at me with sad eyes. "Sexually" He whispered. My eyes went wide.

"How long have I been out?"

"About a day and a half. Damian is on his way back. He looked over at the clock sitting on the wall" He actually should be home soon. His plane landed about an hour ago so he should be home in about 15 minutes if not sooner"

"Why am I down here?" I asked.

"Well while you were sleeping and me keeping an eye on you, you kept mumbling about a fire. So Austin had me put you by the fire, and you were also very cold" he said.

"Thank you" He nodded his head.

"Do you want me to stay with you until Damian gets back?" He asked

"No go back to bed, I'll wait"

"Are you sure? I could-" I cut him off.

"Go back with your mate"

"Thank you Luna" I nodded my head and watched him leave. I noticed my phone was sitting on the coffee table. I grabbed it and went to my messages. I started typing one to Damian...

Damian,

I'm in the living room when you get home. I really miss you.

~Laila

I sent my phone back on the table and picked up my mug. I watched the fire flicker. I heard a car pull up into the drive way. My wolf started getting excited as was I. I waited paiently for him. I heard some talking and keys to the house being rattled around. I sat tapping my fingers against the mug. The door opened and bags were being set down on the floor. The door closed and Damian locked it again. His boots echoed threw the silent house. I looked over at the entrance way in the living room where he was standing.

"Damian" I whispered. He rushed over to me and hugged me tight. I set my mug down on the table and crawled into his lap. I laid my head on his chest. His arms tightened around me. We sat in silence, enjoying each others company.

"I missed you so much" he whispered in my ear. I looked up at him and kissed him hard. It was a kiss of love. Of missed. Sweet and gental. I smiled. I laid my head down on his shoulder as his fingers played with my hair. Before I knew it, I was sleeping. It was the most peaceful sleep I have ever gotten in my life.
