Chapter 8
I went downstairs after changing into some clothes. I slowly limped down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and watched as Damian tried to cook. I limped over and helped him. I flipped the pancakes before they burnt. I stirred the eggs.
"Plates?" I asked. He walked over and grabbed two plates. I filled my plate with food. I was starving. I sat down and ate every last bite.
"Do you want more?" He asked. I shook my head. Yes I did but I didn't want to sound like a pig. "When was the last time you ate?" He asked again. I looked at him.
"Almost a week ago" His eys grew wide.
"No wonder why you are so skinny" I laughed and took our plates to the sink. "are you ready?" He asked. I slipped on my shoes and we walked out of the house, into the garage. I looked at the 2 SUV's and 3 sports cars. He grabbed keys to one of the sports keys and walked to the passenger door. I walked up next to him as he opened the door. He helped me into the seat. I could have done it myself but I was just liking the feeling of him close.
We drove in silence. I watched as all the trees went by. I looked over at Damian, he was smiling.
"Why are you smiling?" I asked. He looked over at me.
"No reason" He said pulling the car into the parking lot. I pouted my lip as he parked. He looked over at me and smiled. He ran his thumb over my pouty lip. He leaned in and kissed me sweetly. I screamed when thunder echoed threw the air. Shaking the windows in the car. I laid my head on his shoulder and took a deep breath.
"Your always alert aren't you?" He asked. I pulled my head away from his shoulder.
"Yes, It's a habbit. I was always the one alert for me and Emily. She was like my little sister. I was always going to make sure she was safe" He smiled at me and grabbed my hand in his big one.
"You don't need to worry about that anymore. I'm here, I'll protect you" He let go of my hand and got out of the car. I followed after him. He came to my side fast to help me out of the car. He wrapped his arm around my weight. Though it was unnoticable, he was lifting me, supporting my weight.
"You don't need to do that" I said. I noticed other girls staring at him. I took a breath to calm myself. My wolf whined, not wanting other girls to look at him.
"Do what?" He asked.
"Hold me, I can walk"
"Yes, you can walk but, I know it hurts to do so" We walked into the busy mall. All new smells shifted threw the air. "Where do you want to go first?" He asked
"I don't know. I have never been in a mall. What kind of stores do that have?" I asked. He really didn't seemed shocked by my answer. My stomach growled even though we just ate.
"I knew you were still hungry, let's go to the food court first" I smiled and grabbed his hand. I pulled him to were I smelt the food. When we got there I looked all down the food places.
"I'm going to go sit, get me anything. Surprise me" I winked and limped to find a seat. I picked a booth and sat down. I had only been walking 10 minutes and already I was hurting. I noticed a couple guys from a table across the court looking at me. I listened to their conversation.
"She's hot" One whispered. I rolled my eyes. Only humans. I rested my leg on Damian's part of the booth. He came back with a tray full of food. My mouth watered. HHe had burgers, fries, drinks.
"I'll get more, just tell me. Don't be afraid to ask me anything" I nodded and grabbed a burger. I dug into it. I ate the burger fast. I looked up and saw Damian smiling at me.
