Ashton was able to transfer his job over to LA luckily but things grew hard when figuring out what to do with Ethan. My manager started getting mad that i brought him with me everywhere but he was my son, i couldn't just leave him home alone. Some days Ashton would be home and able to take care of him but most of the time it was up to me.

The tiny baby erupted in laughter for no reason while i was practicing a new song making me smile from ear to ear.

Ethan was now 10 months old and crawling all over the place. He has almost taken his first step multiple times but ended up falling and whining at me until i helped him up.

I saw someone walk into the room and was instantly met by green eyes making me smile more. He was in his scrubs still from work but he still looked stunning as ever. I put down my guitar and he made his way over sitting on my lap curling up into a ball.

He placed his head on my shoulder and i noticed his eyes gloss over.

"Ash what's wrong?" I pouted at the boy and put my hand on his cheek so he would look up at me.

"Today sucked, that's why i came over here as soon as i got off." He said quietly and his voice cracked as he spoke.

It was heartbreak watching him be sad absolute heartbreak. I held the boy close to me and placed a light kiss on the tip of his nose, "Do you want to talk about it?"

He shook his head, "I just want to be held and loved on. I just wanna be with you right now."

I nodded understanding and gave him kisses all over his face telling him how amazing and perfect he was.

"Lu, i'm not perfect." The green eyed boy blushed flattered by the words i spoke to him.

"You are perfect in my eyes." I said cheekily, "So damn perfect."

"Gosh, i love you so much." He smiled and placed his lips against mine.

His warm, soft lips moved against mine sweetly and i felt him smile slightly against my lips, making my stomach go crazy with butterflies.

When we finally pulled away I smiled down at him and blushed.

"I hope one day i'm lucky enough to steal your last name." He said making my heart melt.

"Trust me, one day you will." I held up my pinky to him and he connected his to mine, "I promise."

"Crazy how only after 10 months of dating, i'm extremely head over heels for you and already wanting to be with you forever."

"It's very crazy but i feel the same way."

Ethan decided to stand up holding on the chair next to us and giggled at us which put a smile on both of our faces.

He let go of the chair and actually took a couple steps making Ashton and I's eyes go wide.

"Yay Ethan!" I smiled at him and he just smiled while continuing to try and walk.

Ashton got off my lap helping Ethan walk more and I had to continue practicing this song. I had to write a song over night and now I only have today to practice it and get it right before i recorded it in the morning.

Meaning i would get no sleep again but i guess that's what happens when you become an artist.

"Lu you sound amazing." Ashton smiled at me after i finished up a verse of the song, "Did you write that?"

"All on my own."

"It's beautiful." Ashton gave me a kiss on the lips before picking up Ethan, "Do you want us to go home so you can practice?"

"I don't want you too but you probably want to get cleaned up. You can go ahead and go back. i'll be there soon."

"Say I love you daddy." He looked at Ethan.

"Lub you dada!"

"Oh my goodness that was the cutest thing in the entire universe." I gave Ethan a kiss on the head, "But i love you too Ethan. Can you say I love you papa!"

"Lub you dada!"

"He will never say papa i swear. He's too much of a daddy's boy... just like his papa." Ashton winked at me and smirked.

I blushed and just rolled my eyes playfully at him, "I'll see you at home princess."

"See you at home daddy." He winked again and left with Ethan leaving me a flustered mess.

I kept working on the song but felt lonely being the only person in the room. If this is what being a solo artist was like i didn't know if this is what was really for me. But i did sign a contract and there was no going back now.

The silence drove me crazy and it had only been an hour since they left. When Ethan was here there was always a giggle or a cry. Hell i'd settle for Ethan crying as a noise to calm the craziness. And obviously when Ashton was here it wasn't quite. The only time him and i are quite together is when we first wake up if he's there and when we're about to sleep.

I wanted to call it quits but this song wasn't even near perfect yet and it had to be perfect for a first single. Time kept going by and i didn't realise it was already late until i finally checked my phone and noticed i had multiple texts and calls from Ashton. The last one read, "I'm coming over there because i'm worried." And it was from about 20 minutes ago.

The time read 2:34am on my phone and i sighed knowing ashton was going to be upset that i didn't come home and i didn't respond to him.

A worried green eyed boy came in and sighed in relief when we made eye contact.

"Lu i've been trying to get ahold of you for hours. I was scared something happened." He hugged me tightly and hid his face in my neck.

"I'm sorry i wasn't paying attention to the time and i didn't realise my phone was going off. I just saw your message like a couple minutes ago." I hugged him back and kiss the top of his head, "I'm okay baby."

"Thank god you're okay," He kissed all over my face and held onto my cheeks, "I don't know what i would have done if something happened to you. I love you so much."

"I love you too darling."

After that we made our way home and he didn't let go of me for anything. He was super clingy onto me but i was fine with it.

He was just scared that something happened and i'd probably be the same way if it was switched roles.

"Never scare me like that again." He mumbled.

"I won't. I promise."

And with that we both fell into a deep sleep, sleeping in past both of our alarms for both of our important day.
