The stable of Moorland was huge.
Gigantic. Enormous.
Much bigger than Lilly had first expected of a family owned facility.
And sge hadn't even seen much of it yet.
They, she and Justin, where standing outside an open iron gate.
Inside balls of hay were stacked high and two girl were busy driving a wheelbarrow full of hay across the yard.
It was a wonderful view to behold. Especially since she came from a big city where even the stables wasn't far from the highroad.

"Okay so I really need to hurry now, talk to Maya, she will show you around." With those words Justin hurried away and left me behind, again.
She couldn't really blame him though. He'd seemed stressed all through showing her the doormlike rooms where she were to sleep.

But Lilly had a bigger problem than Justing right then.
People of all ages where everywhere, taling, grooming horses, doings chores, how would she possibly find this Maya?

After a moment she shrugged and walked through the gates. How hard could it be? This Maya must hold some authority as she was to talk to her. Meaning people would know where to find her.
"Hey!" Lilly could feel someone's hand on her shoulder and swiftly turned around.
"Are you new here?" It was a girl who spoke. She had slightly red hair and a pretty plain appearance. Her green riding breeches matche with her green-ish t-shirt.

"Ugh yeah, is it that obviously?" Lilly asked her, a little bit nervous now. What if no one knew Maya?
"No, not really." The girl laughed. "I was just looking for someone seeming a bit out of place. I'm Maya by the way, and well you must be Lilly?"
Lilly nodded at her speaking her name and let out a sigh of relif.
It washed through her and she felt her body relax from a tension she hadn't noticed were holding her. She'd found Maya, or that Maya had found her, more like.

To be honest, Lilly didn't know why she was so nervous all of a sudden. Perhaps it was the obvious air of I am better than you that seemed to follow the pink dressed girls like a breeze, or the fact that Lilly, for the first time in her life, felt a sudden sense of purpose.
She was meant to be there, on Jorvik, and nothing had ever felt more true to her heart.

Shrugging of those strange feeling Lilly quickly told Maya what Justin had said.

"Of course I can show you around." Maya said enthusiastically. But then she frowned. "But I think Jenna is better for that job than me."
She smiled brightly towards Lilly. "But I can help you find a perfect horse!" She added after seeing my castaways look after the mention of this Jenna.

"Already?" I asked suprised. "I thought I needed to work her, and maybe buy my own horse later?"
Maya shook her head. "Not in this place, come here."
She grabbed my arm and no less than dragged me towards the open stable doors.
"You need a horse to navigate Jorvik, all riders coming to Moorland gets to borrow one."

As we stepped inside I knew right away that I was already in love with this place.
There where horses everywhere and the typical smell of stable surged through her, making Lilly shiver with delight.

Her eyes imminently fell on a perfect Grey connemara when Maya cleared her throat.
"That's Snowqueen" She could hear Maya tell from behind. "I think you two would make a beautiful couple!"
Lilly stroke Snowqueens white fur thoughtfully.

"I don't know" She said finally and turned away from the pretty horse. "She's a great ponny, but that isn't really my kind of horse. If you understand?"
She hadn't found the connection she longed for.
Maya nodded in agreement and pointed behind Lilly. "Totally. But maybe this one then?"
I looked in the direction Maya had pointed and saw a brown, beautiful, horse. I couldn't tell which breed it was, she had never seen a horse like that before.
"His name is Blaze" Maya told her and walked over to the great stallion stroking his muzzle. "Daisyblaze."

"Daisyblaze..." Lilly mumbled faintly and walked closer to him.
"Blaze?"
He raise his head when he heard her whisper his name. He really was a special horse, she thought. Perfect.
And suddenely, out of nowhere, a sense of belonging came crashing down on her. She was supposed to be with him, whichever gods ruled the worlds, they had mayde Lilly and Blaze for each other,

"I'll go and get his sadle and I will be right back" May said and hurried away trough a small door.
She must have noticed my entrancement.
Lilly smiled. No matter if he threw her of a thousand times, she knew she had found her horse.
