The riding instructor and the warden of the stables of Moorland was named Jenna.
She was a quite nice lady with lightblonde hair and a pale pink coat.
As I helped her tidy the padock she told me about a new horse in the stable. It belonged to one of the other girl's cousin.
I wasn't that familiar with the girl, Maya, but I was always interested in seeing a new pretty horse.
"What's it's name?" I asked curiously leaning against my shovel.
"I've gor no idea what Maya's cousin is called..." He saw my expression and laughed. "Oh, you meant the horse, didn't you?"
I nodded.
"I think it was something like Sphinx? Maybe Jinx? Nah, I can't remember, ask Maya."

Walking through the stable door the first thing I hear is someone's yell of frustration.
"Maya?" I call.
"Ahhh!" Someone shouted back. "What do you want I don't have time to talk-"
Stepping around a corner I see Maya wrestling with a slightly agitated dapple buckskin ponny.
"Sorry," she apologized upon seeing my face.
I wave away her apology and press tge stable door shut behind the horse.
"So I've heard you've got a new horse." I say curiously looking at the dapple buckskin.
"Well not so much new." Maya says shooting the horse a look of mixed annoyance and love. "I'm just looking after my cousins horse for a few days." She gestures at the closed stable door.
"Liza, meet Lynx. Lynx, Liza."
"He looks nice." I said politely.
Maya gave me a look and raised her eyebrowns. "He's the worst trubblemaker of a horse I've ever seen."
"Aww are you?" I said in a high pitched voice turning to face the horses outstretched muzzle.
"Yeah well, I asked Josh to come get her so I can clean up."
Looking around I saw the stable floor was covered in brushes pellets, hay and buckets. All thrown of their shelves.
"As I said." Maya went on. "Lynx can make a lot of chaos when he wants too."
"Yeah I can see tha- Maya! Your hand!"
Maya had stretched out her hand to pet Lynx and blood was trippling down her arm.
"Oh." Maya said stunned. "Yeah, I felt that before. I slipped into the sink and crashed a glass. Must have cut me..."
"Well don't you have a bandage or anything?" I asked slightly panicked. I'm sure I was overreacting, but better safe than sorry.
"Actually," said Maya thoughtfully. "Mrs. Holdsworth usually makes a healing ointment that we keep in the stables just in case. I don't know if it's supposed to work on humans though."
"Go try some." I suggest. And upon her panicked looks I added, "and I will look after Lynx."
She gave me a gratifying smile and hurried away.
Josh came around to help Maya and I left the two of them alone.
