"Liza!"
Of course it was the voice of Loretta I heard. Much to my disdain.
I turned around and saw Loretta running towards me and Blaze.
"Justin is looking for you" She said in a bitter tone. "He probably just need some newcomer to muck out the stables, you know?" She smirked. "And keep away from Justin. He's mine and nobody will ever come between us. Not that there is any chance that he would ever be interested in... Someone like you..." She gave me a meaning look that I didn't quite understand before walking of.I told Blaze to turn around and together we headed in the opposite direction of Loretta.
So where could he be?
As it turned out. I didn't have to worry.
Blaze lead me inside the gates and there I saw Justin, right in the middle of the courtyard speaking with a young boy.
"Justin?" I asked carefully not wanting to disturb him.
"There you are, it's nice to see you again. And don't mind Loretta, she can be a bit harsh sometimes but she's nice once you get to know her. Even if it's hard to believe" He laughed at my disbelief.
"And I almost forgot, I just got a world from my father, Thomas, that he wants to see you. I don't know why, he've probably heard that I trust you. My father is usually working in the west part of the stable courtyard. See you later" He waved as Blaze turned around with me.Mr Moorland was not young and not old. He was a man in his best years as my grandpa would say.
He'd working clothes on, a little dirty, just as Justin.
And he had the perfect looks of a father, if you could say so.
"Mr Moorland?" I carefully asked the man.
"Liza Deershade?" He asked and looked around, like he was worried someone was spying on us.
I nodded as he continued.
"Thank you for coming so fast. You've probably heard about G.E.D by now? The situation with Mr Kembell is getting out of my hand and I need your help. I know Justin trust you, so I do as well."I could see the worried look in his eyes. Something was not right.
"That slimy vulture Kembell has plans to evict us all and raze Moorland stables to the ground. I just got a word that he has almost convinced the city council, and I'm running out of time to stop him. Even as we speak his despicable pack of land surveyors are setting up their equipment so they can make a detailed demolition map and present to the city hallz" He took a deep breath.
I secretly vowed to myself that I wouldn't let anyone destroy this beautiful place I already loved so much.
