Evangeline
She came to a sudden halt.
"He was killed at the signing of the peace treaty?"
Thor nodded solemnly.
"Yes. He was,"
Scowling Evangeline began to lose her lid on her composure. It wasn't enough that he was murdered. It was one of the most important meetings, for peace.
"How dare those ungodly creatures, disgrace the signing of a peace treaty?!" Evangeline started taking in rapid raspy breaths her eyes almost flowing over in tears.
Thor put a hand on her shoulder.
"Evangeline, are you okay-" Thor asked tentatively his eyes soft and kind, however he stopped. He knew the answer.
Evangeline shock her head quickly.
"No. I miss him so much." Soon the tears began to flood.
Thor embraced her as she cried into his chest. His arms snaked around her shoulder and he pulled her in a tight embrace. It hurt so much.
"Why?" She croaked. Her voice hoarse from the tears.
"I don't know Evangeline. I do not understand the cruelty of the Norns." He patted her back and let her pull away.
Evangeline hastily wiped away her tears. Frustrated with herself.
" I apologize I just, I can't. I don't know what to do or say- I'm so sorry."
Thor's eyes still held that understanding kindness, however that could have been mistaken for sadness. She couldn't forget that she may have lost a finance, he lost his brother.
"There is no need for an apology because of tears. It's quite alright to shed a few."
She nodded slightly, and began to walk the halls again to find the throne room.
