Evangeline.

She gritted her teeth her adrenaline was still running at a high, causing her to be jittery and pissed off. Her ebony hair hung down below her shoulders as she searched the palace for any enemies.

Evangeline crept around in the dungeons, searching for someone.

Her soft footsteps trailed through the empty corridor.

In the faint touch light she caught a glimpse of metal.

Evangeline hurried to where a small gold dagger lay.

I'm it's handle in elegant scrawl the word,

"Mischief," was embedded in the smooth metal.

Her grey eyes narrowed.

Why was Loki's dagger here?

She gritted her teeth blood boiling. Someone has hell to pay..

Later that evening Evangeline held the dagger, running her fingers over the hilt of the blade.

She still felt broken. She had no one to confide in anymore. She couldn't trust anyone.

Because the saddest thing about betrayal it never comes from your enemies.
