Evangeline POV
She noticed there was not a dry eye. Not one damn one.
Evangeline sat still and somber, dried tears had made tracks on her face. Her face held a unreadable grief. She sat over looking the river, watching the water fall flowing over the edge of Asgard.
Her long black hair came from the bun she had put it in. It framed her still face.
No one had dare to come and disturb her. A light breeze carried a group of cherry blossom petals. It blew around her wispy hair let it float off her shoulders for a slight minute. In the breeze the smell of fresh water and flowers wafted through the air.
Evangeline's grief stricken eyes wandered. Deciding it would be best, she stood fixing her black dress. Evangeline tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
She found her way into the throne room.
Not really realising when Thor started walking by her side.
His mortal attire was replaced with his armor. His red cape was blown with the wind. Thor's blonde hair was pinned back with a half ponytail.
She remembered how Loki would just grease his back.
A pang of sadness hit her in her heart.
She continued walking. Thor didn't speak, he didn't need to. His expression was enough for her.
Evangeline soon reached the throne room. Frigga was standing beside Odin, talking about something she could not yet hear.
The soft footfall that came from Evangeline alerted them of her presence, end it their conversation.
Thor began to speak when both of the throne doors where thrown open foreign soldiers infiltrating the castle.
It was an ambush.
