So, we use to have this Italian group of guys mow our lawn right? Yeah... well, they got the job done fast and they were very friendly. Then one day policeman showed up on multiple people's doorstep, including ours. They handed my mom a picture of three wanted men who are supposedly in the Italian Mafia. Hmmm.... well then. Consequently, those three wanted men were our lawn guys. My mother spoke to the police privately and sooner or later we had a bunch of officers in our house. One officer was even digging in our fridge for food. He took my chicken salad.

At the end of the last day of school, I arrived home thinking everything would finally be peaceful without agonizing school work... but Noooooooo. I attempted to unlock the door to my house, but the door wouldn't open!!! I wiggled the handle and pushed the door. It still wouldn't budge. I tried adjusting the key. No. I tried punching in the code. No. I tried kicking it. No. I suddenly heard manly sophisticated voices and walki-talki sounds. I looked up at the guest room window and saw a chubby blonde hair officer with binoculars looking at me. What? I knocked on the door again.

"Hello?"....."Hello let me in!"...."Mom it's me!"

Police officers are in my house! I can't get in my own house!!!!! I am not in the mood! School just ended, I need to rest and get my life together!! I want a normal life for once!!!!

I started banging on the door furiously.

"HEEEEYYYY!!!! LET ME IN!!! HOW COME EVERYONE IS IN MY HOME AND NOT ME!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!!!??? LET ME IN!!!!!!!!", I yelled.

The door swung open, an officer pulled me in and shut the door. I was on the floor, questioning his actions. The officer spoke.

"Mrs. Convos-"

"Phoenix."

"Okay... Phoenix, please keep it down. We are planning to arrest the Mafia Men that mow your yard. They come on Fridays so we have men from the department watching everything. That is why we are in your home.. since this is the closest place we here we can observe. We have men upstairs and in your yard. Hell, we even have one guy in the bushes."said the officer.

"Couldn't we have called you when they arrived." I asked.

"They are part of the ITALIAN MAFIA!!!!! THEY MIGHT BE ARMED WITH WEAPONS!! THEY DON'T KNOW THAT WE KNOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DIDN'T THINK YOU KNOW!!! BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!!! That is why it is safe to stay one step ahead."

"Oh... okay... do you have-"

"Yes we have two snipers in position."

"Well then, where is my-"

"Your mother is upstairs talking to officers."

"WELL THEN???!!! What do I do? It was the last day of school for me. My Summer started 28 minutes ago."

"Just do your normal schedule. We'll let you know when they arrive and we'll handle it from there, but for now... just relax."

"Alright...alright."

I went up the stairs to my room and plopped myself on my bed. I slipped off my vans and placed them in my closet. I soon as I opened the door, I saw a police man standing there. I threw my vans at him and let out a slight scream. "Ahhh!"

"WHY ARE YOU IN MY CLOSET?"

"I'm trying to figure out a place to hide just in case."

"I WANT SOME PRIVACY!!! LEAVE NOW PLEASE."

"I'm afraid I can't do that that Mrs. Convos"

"PHOENIX! NOW..GET OUT!"

"We were told to stay in every room for reasons."

"GET OUT!"

"If something happens to you I'll notify the other officers for backup and an ambulance."

"LEAVE!"

"I'm only trying to protect you."

"GO AWAY!"

"You could die if i'm not here."

"FINE WITH ME. GET OUT!"

"PHOENIX!!! I AM WITH THE POLICE FORCE!!"

"AND I'M A MOODY TEENAGER!!! GET OUT OF MY ROOM SO I CAN CHANGE!! LET ME AT LEAST CHANGE!!!"

"Oh ok sure."

The officer quickly left my room and I just stood there. How dangerous could those Mafia men really be? I mean, they have been mowing our lawn for like..... two months. Oh man. I can't believe it. I change into my ACDC shirt and some trash bad pants. The officer knocks.

" You can come in... sadly"

The officer came back in and sat on my bed even though he didn't have my permission. I let it slide.

"Will they try to shoot?", I asked.

"Probably not since there is a 14% chance they know police are here".

"Well, I'm always ready to die." I said.

"Same thing here"

"Yeah.. if its my time, then its my time."

"I agree."

"Hey Officer..."

"Green"

"Yeah...Officer Green, do you like being an officer?"

"Yes, as long as I don't take a life away and as long as I protect others."

"Wow...Your really brave Green."

"Same to you Phoenix."

Suddenly Officer Greens walki-talki told the following.

"The Mafia Men are here. Repeat the Mafia Men are here, prepare for the plan."

Officer Green and I both screamed, "I DON'T WANNA DIE! AHHHHHH"
