I peek out the blinds to see how the rookie lawn guy is doing. He looks like Green... I mean Alex...

He stands up from the planting flowers. I continue to watch him... I can't seem to look away. He uses the bottom of his shirt to wipe away sweat. I observe his stomach and my eyes widen from seeing his ..his.... abs. I look away furiously. What am I doing? Silly me.... ha. Ha.

I think about offering the guy some water.... and I do. I close the door behind me and walk around the shrubs with a ice glass of water that has condensation drops on my fingers. I begin to shake. What in the name of Rilakkuma???...
Why are my nerves like this all of a sudden???

I look up to see him patting mulch. He glances over at me with wide hazel green eyes. He continues to stare and I take a step back.

His mouth slowly progresses into a small grin. He speaks,

"Hi."

His voice is slightly low and friendly.
I lose my mind for a couple seconds.

"Hey..Hi.. um I.. this glass has... I brought you some water to eat."

EAT?!!!? Am I STUPID??!

He scrunches his eyebrows, "Eat?"

"I mean drink."

I stare down at the cup.

"Thank you."

He stands up and was walking towards me. MY HEART IS POUNDING SO FAST!!!

He takes the glass from me and his hands are dark from the mulch.

He sips the water and then sets it down.

I stand there like a retarded pigeon wondering what to do next.

I turn on my heel to attempt to walk away unnoticed.

"Um.. how do you-"

"What?", I turn around.

"Oh sorry, I was just wondering how you know my uncle and all."

I took a moment to reflect on that day and what I saw. I placed a hand around my stomach trying not to gag.

"Green saved me after I collapsed from seeing the wanted corpses. He was there when I needed help. I'm really thankful for him."

He gives me an understanding nod.

"Ya know, he kept talking about you at dinner and about how worried he was. This was about two days after the incident."

There was a small pause.

"He thinks you're very brave."

I smile at the thought of Alex Green eating some vegetables at dinner in his house and talking.

"To be honest, Green is like the older brother I never had."

He smiles,"Glad he means something to you."

Our eyes meet for a moment and I quickly look down at my shoes.

"Your name is Arizona right?", he asks.

"Ha... close I'm the capital of Arizona... my name is Phoenix."

"I'm messing with you... I knew that." He gives a playful laugh.

My face feels hot. His laugh is so light and playful.
