Same Old Ordinary

"Hey Jack! What's up?"

"Nothin' much Nyle. What about you?"

"Just same old same old."

"I wish life was more exciting.. you know?"

"Yeah. I mean it's only Wake up, Go to school, After school activities, Go home, Do Homework, Go to bed."

Jack and Nyle continue walking silently. Jack is still wishing life was a little more exciting.

"Jack?"

"What's up Nyle?"

"Look!!!"

They both look 4 meters in front of them.

"I don't see it, Nyle!"

"A penny!"

"A WHAT??!!"

"Penny... it's a penny."

"Ohhhh HAHAHAA... I thought you said something else!"

"What did you think I said, Jack?"

"Nothing!!"

"Tell me."

"Forget about it Nyle."

"Just say it man. I won't judge."

"That's a lie."

"Yeah. It is."

"Forget it."

Nyle thinks of a proposal.

"If I get the penny first, you have to tell me what you thought I said."

"Ok then, NYYYLLE... if I get the penny first, you will forget what I said..... and you'll have to buy drinks from the machine."

"Deal... One, Two,Three!"

Both guys are sprinting towards the penny. Jack holds Nyle back from his arm and Nyle pushes Jack away from him... a little too hard. Jack loses his balance and falls, then he rolls down the bank towards the stream. While rolling he screams.

*High Pitched Screaming*

"GYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

"JAACK!!!!"

Nyle runs down the steep bank to catch up with the rolling Jack. Nyle see's a deep hole in his way and he leaps over it, he continues to run down the bank. Then, a large pile of construction dirt is in his way, he jumps over it. Nyle continues to run down the bank. A polar bear is in his way so, he hops over that too. Nyle keeps running down the bank, THEN he trips on a leaf. Nyle falls into the stream with Jack. Nyle yells.

"GAAAAHHH!"

*Splash*

Nyle and Jack are soaking wet.

"Jack!! I'm sorry I pushed you!! Are you good?"

"Yeah man... heh.. pfffftt!"

"What's so funny? Jack...we just fell into water that a 23% chance of being contaminated with people's urine."

"All that for a stupid penny!!!"

"Heh... yeah, you're right."

"Looks like this day wasn't so boring.. huh Nyle?"

"Yeah... I agree."

Jack starts laughing hysterically. Nyle chuckles and then looks at Jack with a smile. Nyle speaks.

"You know what makes this even more funny, Jack?"

"What, Nyle?"

"The fact that I like you."

Jack looks over at Nyle and the two gaze at each other. Jack smiles and looks up at the sky.

"Nice joke, Nyle."

"I wish I could say the same."

"Oh... I see."

"I'll buy the drinks, Jack."

"No... its fine.. I can buy them for..US."

The two stare at each other and then start laughing. This day was a little out of the ordinary. It was....exciting.
