Irusu adjusts his cap and prepares to swing the bat.

"This is the last ball we have so try to keep it in!!!", one of the team members yell to Irusu. He nods.

As other folks hang near the outside fence to spectate the game, there goes Ukiyo walking home. She stops for a brief moment to observe the game.

She thinks to herself, Oh look.. they're practicing again.. oh..it's the top star of the baseball team. Irusu. Cool. I hope he gets us another win for our school. Ukiyo continues walking again.

The pitcher throws the ball towards Irusu. He swings and hits it.

"Really MAN!!! You swung it out!! I
SHHHHPECIFICALY told you not it hit out! OUR LAST BALL IS GONE!"

The ball flies over the net and passes in front of Ukiyo into the bushes. She flinches. Ukiyo turns to face the field. All the boys are looking past the fence, trying to predict where the ball might've flown off to.

She goes to the bushes and grabs the ball. Ukiyo jogged to the high fence. She looks for a close by member to give it back to.

A player turns and notices Ukiyo holding the ball and looking for someone to take it back. He decides to jog to her.

Ukiyo see's someone coming to get the ball from her. Irusu. He he stops in front of her on the other side of the metal fence.

Irusu and Ukiyo's eyes meet for a couple seconds.

"I can try to throw it over?", Ukiyo suggested.

"The fence is a little to high for that.", said Irusu.

"I'll come in to give it to you then." said Ukiyo.

"Don't worry, I got it. Hold on." Irusu said.

Irusu manages to fit his hand through one of the holes in the fence.

"Are you sure? Will you get stuck?", asked Ukiyo.

"I'll be fine. Hand me the ball." said Irusu.

Ukiyo placed the ball in Irusu's hand. She helped push his hand back through the hole.

"Thank you." Said Irusu.
"Anytime." Said Ukiyo.

Irusu stared at Ukiyo with no expression for a moment.

"IRUSU!!! WE NEED YOU TO BRING BACK THE BALL!! HURRY UP!", a team member said.

Ukiyo blinked.

Irusu reached into his left pocket to grab something. He then put his hand through one of the fence holes. Irusu's cap flap was covering his face while he was looking at the ground.

He remembered he had two of them.

"Take this." He said with his hand closed.

Ukiyo reached out and placed her hand under his. Irusu opened his hand leaving Ukiyo with a free ticket to the upcoming game.

Irusu removed his hand and looked up at Ukiyo.

Ukiyo stared at Irusu, the star of the baseball team.

Irusu smiled and slowly started backing away. Irusu spoke,

"Make sure you come and see me at the game."

He turned around and started jogging back.

Ukiyo looked at the ticket and grinned. She was full of joy. She yelled back,

"Thanks... I will! Make sure you win!!!"

While jogging, Irusu looked back and winked at Ukiyo.

"Hey man!!! You took so long!! Come on! Get ready to pitch!!" A player yelled and smacked Irusu on the back.

Ukiyo smiled at the ground and continued walking home with the ticket in her hand.

She looked back at Irusu and he turned to look at her. Ukiyo smiled and Irusu grinned and then threw the ball.

On game day. Irusu's team won.
